I won't be shopping here again because they have done away with hand baskets. The idea is to discourage older shoppers and people who just want a few items, so it's nice that there is an Aldi just across the road. Better products and prices too.

I like lidl,fresh food for low prices

I just wanted to thank one of the checkout staff for her advice on Lidl plus. I think she usually works Saturday late night.
A couple of months back I'd spent quite a bit, nearly 180, and she was surprised I didn't have Lidl plus. I told her I'd had it when it first came out but never seemed to get anything out of it.
She gave me a leaflet, told me it had got much better than when it first started and told me to try it again!
So I did as I was told! and I just wanted to say thank you to her.
It is much better, I get lots of coupons relevant to what I actually buy, and I've saved over £50 in just a couple of months, so thank you for taking the time to mention this to me, especially as it was nearly closing time and there was a queue behind me! It was very kind of you, especially at the end of the day, when most people just want to hurry up so they can go home!

Not bad store, stopped shopping here due to dirty baskets luck of products and higher prices than other supermarkets.
