Went in to buy a universal remote, ended up with a Roberts digital radio and a 65 inch tv.Andrea treated me like I was valued, spent time with me explained items to me, friendly not pushy. Let me make the decisions. Sorted out delivery explained the quality of the TV.I ended up with no remote but radio and TV. Spent £700 instead of £20.

Chapman?s visited me today to sort out my aerial as my TV was being battered by 5G broadband , The expert diagnosed the problem and fitted a 5G filter as I?m using Freeview?Chapmans Sorted out the problem that I?ve been experiencing which took no more than half an hour? wow what a service and the staff on the phones were very professional. Great people great workers huge reputation. Thank you Chapmans for your expert help

Having had the families 1970 Grundig radiogram sitting as a piece of furniture for a few years (attempts to engage other vintage repair teams having ended up with ghosting on a couple of occasions) what a joy to find a no nonsense service that delivered beyond expectations.The problems fixing the 'gram were laid out clearly, and a very reasonable price was set for Chapmans to sort out what could be done.With a slight delay to source vintage parts, the family are now able to listen to Grandad's Bowie records on the player they originally span on. Our teenagers are bowled over by the sound quality (they dont make them like this any more!) and the only downside is wanting to replace all my CDs!

Friendly sales staff. Not pushy and gave great advice. I ordered our integrated freezer on Thursday for delivery on the following Tuesday. Recieved a phone call from the delivery team to give me a time for delivery. They arrived spot on time. Two nice guys came and fitted the freezer and took the old one away. Brilliant service and would highly recommend.

Excellent service from Lisa, no sales pressure, just well informed advice and answers to our questions .Went in for one item came out with two. First visit to Chapmans will call here in future first when looking for electrical appliances. Fitting of dishwasher carried out on day stipulated, The fitters were careful in carrying it in and taking old one away. Neat and clean workers. Would recommend Chapmans to go to first before anywhere else.

I am very anoyed that Chapman's Electrical has tried to con me into taking out their maintenance contract on my Bosch tumble drier, as it is only 1 year old. As with every new Bosch large appliance you get the option to register your product with Bosch for a free 2 year warranty, within 28 days of purchase.Furthermore, the Chapman's quote is not even competitive, as Bosch are only quoting me £26.33 per year, from year 3 to 5. Another slight irritation is that they have not even taken the care to address me correctly, simply as "Dear Cooper". The overall result is, that it is very unlikely I would ever use them again.Added note 21/08/23: As you will see from our other reviews, we always try to use local suppliers & services, when available, and look forward to receiving your full explanation for the error, in due course.Added note 03/09/23: I appreciate & accept the apology contained in your response and an acknowledgement of certain errors in your current links with Bosch. Hopefully this has helped you to improve your after sales service offering to myself and other customer in the future?I have also noted your explanation of why your maintenance charges are significantly higher than those of Bosch, but in my particular case I would be very happy to undertake all of those additional activities myself. However, I can accept that Chapman's, no doubt, have other customers who would not.

After a very costly and failed attempt to get my vintage Sanyo Reel To Reel tape recorder that I bought in 1971 fixed, I stumbled upon Chapmans Electrical Vintage Service, and I would just like to say what a brilliant service they provide. All the staff I encountered were professional, friendly, courteous and helpful. Ian the repair guy, phoned me as soon as he had the machine on the bench. He sounded, very knowledgeable, and told me what he thought, was required to get the tape machine up and running. He also gave me a very reasonable quote, and asked if I wanted to continue with the full repair. Well I did, and within a week, I collected the machine, fully working, both electrically and mechanically. It was so good to hear the old tapes again, from when I was in bands in the 70s. the sound of my kids voices, who are now in their 30s. Christmas singalongs from years gone by and, a certain Mr Edmunds slagging off one of our bands singles on Radio One. This is the real Vintage Repair Shop, and you don't need a sob story to get the job done. Thank you so much for a superb service.Phil Smith

I had spent nearly a year, trying to find someone to fix an electrical problem on a lovely 1960s light fitting. Had no luck until someone recommended Chapmans. This place is incredible. Not only do they fix things but they sell everything you could want to be electrical as well. all the staff were lovely, helpful and very professional. It is an old-fashioned place in the very best sense of the word. They fixed my light in a couple of days at a very reasonable price indeed. Definitely worth a trip to for anything Electrical. I have had such a terrible problems with Customer Service over the last few years with other companies, I just had to give them a good review as they really deserve it.
