“Needed a washing machine repair and told the call out was £30. I assumed this would include diagnosing the fault but apparently not. After the bad new that the machine needed a new board at a repair cost of £250, I decided it was better value to buy a new machine. My bill for diagnosing the fault £60.50, twice the cost expected. Since writing the above Chapmans have apologised for the pricing error (they charged me for a repair) and have corrected the bill to £30, so I have upped their scoring.”
