The food was decent, although overpriced and small portions. The issue was the waiting time and service however. We waited nearly 1.5 hours for it to arrive. No explanation, no apology. The staff had no interest in us being there, felt like a total inconvenience. Avoid

?No Ordinary Hotel? - indeed, it is not ordinary! Expectations surpassed. Aside from the grandeur, cleanliness and amazing food, the staff are definitely the highlight of the experience. Nothing is too much trouble- everyone has a smile on their face and clearly has a passion for their role in hospitality. A special mention to Ismael and Ethan who were attentive and professional. Thank-you to Richard and the team

we first visited Coombe abbey for our mini moon in 2012, so.we returned for our 13th wedding anniversary, although the hotel has changed owners it is still a simply beautiful place, staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough , we stayed in the spectacular lady craven bedroom wow it is definitely worth every penny The dinner was absolutely amazing we can't wait to return. People need to start supporting these stunning places before we lose them .

6 rooms booked for a works event, 5 rooms complaining of being cold, one room with no plugs for sink or bath. Light bulbs missing or not working in rooms, shower screen in need of cleaning.
At breakfast all but one room had been told to use the freezing cold court house for breakfast, so one room breakfasted alone in the garden room (which at least was nice and warm).
Breakfast items often in short supply, queues to be seated whilst the hostess ignored them and chatted to staff.
It is a simply stunning venue and was very well dressed for Christmas, but it's the little things that let it down, and it doesn't quite live up to the premium that they charge.

What a place! Steeped in history, we stayed in the Caperbility Brown room which was bigger than our house with a super king four poster bed and a roll top bath up a spiral staircase. The staff were great, attentive and only too pleased to help at every stage, we have stopped her a few times now and we have to say that if your budget stretches go for something like this although the standard rooms are still very good but the suite is something else. The grounds are unbelievably immaculate, and the building truly inspiring.

I really loved the ambiance of the garden bar and we enjoyed dinner there. The chips were so good we ordered another portion of them! The service was decent but unfortunately the cappuccino I had might be the worst I?ve ever been served, although I suspect that may be due to the almond milk that was used and not the fault of the person who made it.

We did get the 39.5£ steak which was very fatty and unenjoyable. I?d say very expensive and overpriced. The service was good though and the atmosphere was nice.

Came for a work dinner with supplier and the food was of an exceptional quality. Would definately return with my partner. The food was full of flavour and arranged beautifully. Servive was great.I marked down on atmosphere because it was so quiet, I would recommend this place to others.

Expensive but delicious food, impeccable service, and nice, conservatory surroundings.

We booked in dinner for 2 at 19:30 and to put it short, this was so disappointing. The wine selection was fine but there was no actual drinks menu, and we didn?t even know what cocktails were available. The food was passable, very small portions though and extremely fatty cuts. The worst part of our experience was the service. The host was friendly but it seemed like he didn?t know what was going on, there were a lot of rude waitresses who were annoyed at our presence, and any simple request seemed like a huge inconvenience to them. The way they spoke to us felt condescending, as if we were kids or mentally disadvantaged people. We were even asked if we wanted two straws for one drink to share, which was very insulting. I suspect this was because we looked a lot younger than the rest of the other guests, hence why we felt so looked down upon. We felt unsettled and on edge and it was like this for the whole dinner. I would only recommend this restaurant to my worst enemies.

We had lively afternoon tea for my mums birthday. Service was fast and all staff was great and friendly. Place got his historical abbey vibes, especially inside. Really good place for special occasions and treat!
