Stopped by the OPEN TIL 8:00 pm pharmacy for my prescription and a bit of generic Viagra then to the top notch cafe for my toast and tea served by the brilliant Cassie and Ritik. Meanwhile I left two smoked salmons 3 daze ago at the self checkout and customer service said No receipt? No problem and they traced the transaction via my Clubcard and okayed me to get some more. But everyone is so cool at this Tesco and the muzak is great.

Sadly, the one redeeming feature this store could boast, its bakery, has now stopped baking bread from scratch. Now selling inferior baked off preprepared dough for the same price. When I enquired at the customer service, they denied knowing what I was talking about, but when I asked other general staff, they all told me about the change in bakery practices.
Not only has the customer experience diminished, but it seems the higher-ups can't be honest with the customers.

Mobility scooters are available to rent for customers like me who struggle to walk, but the basket on the front of them is small.

Two days in a row no bread at all, no bakery products, shelves are empty, just buy your groceries elsewhere, tesco has really went downhill recently.

they didn?t have bags, unacceptable, as you know I currently use bags to carry my items with me, this day, the bags were NOT here, I am very upset. I hope there will be bags next time and I hope I also get a big sorry and a hug from the manager of Tesco superstore!!!
Edit: came back a week later and they have bags again sorry, the manager was very understanding but refused to give me a hug

I visited store yesterday and received unacceptable service from cashier. I have shopped here for over 30 years and have noticed customer service not so good anymore.
The cashier next to self serve was carrying out conversations and whispering with two different staff members at different times and never even looked at us when she gave us our receipt she just stretched out her arm and held out her hand with the receipt not even looking her head turned away from us continuing whispering conversation with her colleague.
Staff (not all) but regular ones at this store do not appear to have common courtesy, good manners or good customer service any more.
I always aim to be polite to cashiers as they can be very busy at times, but surely their whispering can take place not in front of customers and they could surely acknowledge the customers at some stage.

On 1st Feb ('25) I started unloading my basket onto a conveyor behind another customer in the usual way. After completing unload of a dozen items or so I was informed by the cashier that she was closed. The gate was closed, which it had not been when I arrived. I reloaded my basket and had to repeat unloading at another cashier. It left me very cross, less likely to go there again, and feeling that some staff training deficiencies exist.

The Cafe is freezing cold, very expensive and the touch screens to order the food are filthy and there are no hand cleansing stations near the screens. It's a fact that these touch screens are dirtier than toilet seats. This is a health hazzard and TESCO should take note.

As well as food and homeware, the store has a cafe and pharmacy, plenty of parking, fuel station with both a car and jet wash.
A few minutes drive from the A46 near Walsgrave.
