One staff member was rude and aggressive. I approached the manager about the incident who then completely refused to listen to me and backed his staff saying they wouldn?t be rude. Avoid this store.

After reading the reviews of the Coventry store I suggest people write to the CEO of this company. They need to train their staff better.

Great store. Huge, well stocked and tidy. Mostly well organised. Wheeled baskets are provided but no trolleys. This is an issue when buying bigger items and getting them to the car, with toddler in tow.
Went in to buy a tuff tray and play sand. Three men were standing at the front of the store?s display section. I thought they were Dads chatting. Went off in search of a tuff tray. No sign. Realised men at front of store were actually members of staff. Asked for a tuff tray. Didn?t know what it was but pointed out a play table. I had a look and scanned QR code. Check height of table and looked around for it. Asked staff members for help. Told me where to find it and warned me it was heavy. But large box on the wheeled basket. There were two helpful ladies on the tills. They both asked if I needed help getting to car and tried to get attention of staff members. My daughter was starting to misbehave so I didn?t want to wait around. Grabbed daughter, bag and large box. Proving trolleys would be helpful.

Visited smith toys yesterday . Found lot of good items but the staff service were very poor. I have never expected this from a well known store. Staff has no time to talk to the customer or help them to purchase things , instead they are always on the headphone taking each other . Very rude and bad attitude from staffs . Very disappointing

Great layout and very friendly staff. I come here to buy Lego, while prices sure may be the same on Amazon or sometimes a little cheaper at least here I?ll get the box intact! Well recommended and easy to access from the A45.

This is our closest store and we are regulars but our experience with the staff at the store today is beyond disappointing.
We took our boy to choose and buy a 3-wheeled scooter. We asked one lady to help us get it out of the shelf, as all scooters and bikes are locked with long chains. The lady was really struggling to get it our and she seemed really pissed... we even apologized that our son had chosen one of the scooters at the end of the chain, and after a while she gave up and said 'it's stuck in there, there's nothing I can do'...she didn't ask for help, she didn't call another colleague, she didn't offer an alternative model...nothing! we were really baffled; our son wasn't given any chance to try the scooter, not even to step on it. We aborted the purchase and went on to pay for another toy we were carrying, but what could have been a £99 purchase ended up being a £7.99. At the pay point, I asked the cashier if I could give some feedback about our experience, and I mentioned we were really there to buy a scooter but we hadn't been able...she said (rather upset) that all scooters were locked so people didn't steal them... I said it was a poor exhibiting strategy and she said it wasn't her job. Bottom line, we just bought a similar scooter on Amazon. This Coventry branch really needs to sort out their staff training, morale and service attitude.

Standard layout in most stores
Easy parking and for a kids store it?s not messy at all
Kids love coming here but I can?t lie I love it too
I like Smyths as they have toys for all budgets and also the special offers are good
