Nice low level building with a bit of character and the room was lovely. The staff in the bar/restaurant were nice and attentive and my steak was spot on.Rooms: Lovely and spacious, clean close by.

Out of all the premier inn we have stayed at this has got to be the best lovely location out in the countryside, all on one level staff couldn't do enough for youThe Sparrow was a lovely place to eat very reasonably priced if we were ever going to be in this area again I wouldn't hesitate to book this again ??

Lovely warm room on a night it was hurling it down with rain. I dont know if there was a leak in the roof, but I was woken at 3am by a tapping, or dripping noise in the room. Not sure if it was a leak, or the heating pipes.So I went to reception, there was no one there. There wasn't a way of letting anyone know at that time.

OK, I'm scoring this inn 2 stars only because the property is in desperate need of modernisation and soon! When I arrived, there was an issue with my booking that the lady in reception helped me with and had sorted very quickly. All the staff are great. They're polite, kind, and very helpful, but sadly, that's where the positive review ends. The rooms are like something from 1985. There was an overall musty smell, which lingered throughout my stay. The shower heavily leaked, and the pressure was extremely uneven, with the temperature going from warm to hot to cold periodically.The carpet looks like something from the Overlook Hotel in The Shining, as does the brown mahogany style wood furniture that time travelled from the 1970s.My room was right next to the reception, so therefore, I heard EVERYONE coming and going throughout my stay.So, other than the staff, this place is awful.

Avoid this hotel at all costs if you want a cool well ventilated room. 2/3rd of the rooms only have a tiny openable window in the bathroom. It terrible in the summer and bad in the winter.Staff are nice, but Premier Inn Customer Service is appaling. Forget even trying to appy for their Good Night guarantee.Rooms: Appaling

I would recommend avoiding Premier Inn and this hotel in particular.Premier Inn totally messed up our booking. We arrived at the hotel for the night to be told we didn't have a room.Due to the incompetence of the staff, they were unable to resolve the problem.
