This is the Worst Bank / Building society in terms of customer service. Worst manager too. I asked the staff to help me download and set up the app as I didn't have a customer number to hand and app had technical problems. They asked for ID, I gave them my British passport, they asked for my card I gave them, they asked for my address, date of birth which I also I gave them but they said that the door number of the building I gave them didn't match the details as they didn't have a door number but had a flat number so I told them the flat number but they apparently couldn't verify me because I said there was building which they didn't have. They also asked me where was my last transaction, when and amount. I quickly printed a mini statement using my card and pin number inside the bank right in front of them to tell them all these details but they wouldn't accept that either even thou I had verified my pin number to use my card and print a mini statement so of course they knew I was the rightful owner of that account. Since Covid, I was very sad about seeing Banks go and seeing human jobs be replaced by Robots, AI and machines but for the first time I feel so happy to say we need more Robots and machines to prove how useless and unkind human beings are at delivering a good customer service. The manager was also rude and I really am put off going to this bank as I am extremely disappointed. Infact, Nationwide bank in general has the worst staff in terms of customer service.

I'm so happy with the nationwide they are on the ball. In the past year or so people have tried to scam me and nationwide have been there for me.
I have been with the nationwide 10+ years never had a problem they are extremely professional

Sullen unhelpful staff. Apart from the cheerful lady on customer service who arranged my appointment. The lady adviser who I spoke to seemed annoyed that I wanted to consult her in an office due to my deafness when there is background noise. She seemed to be disinterestedand unhelpful as was her male colleague. Incredibly she described an interest rate of four point ten percent. What? Who trains these people? Also nobody I spoke to wore name badges or introduced themselves. Previous advisers were brilliant, friendly and helpful. Wouldn?t pay these in washers. I?m off to find another bank with professional considerate staff.Ed.
