CEX is happy to sell you whatever quality of equipment with their A to C grading but when purchasing from you this becomes an entirely different story.
I bought a Switch from them a year or two after it launched and it was in what I have learnt since to be of C grade meaning possessing aesthetic defects but otherwise entirely functional.
On Saturday 02/08/2025 I attempted to sell it and after they had already shorted me almost £10 for a partition in the box which I have no recollection of ever seeing being missing they took it in to be tested. When I returned they told me that it had failed because of a cosmetic defect on the screen but this defect was present on the screen when I purchased it. They purported that they couldn?t possibly have sold it in that state and despite being a member they couldn?t find any evidence of me ever having bought it from any CEX despite that shop being the very shop I bought it from.
They are happily selling C grade hardware at double if not triple the trade in value and then refusing to accept it for trade in when you choose to exchange it later. I would suggest anyone intending to do business with them keep all their receipts and some record somewhere because they will do everything in their power to short change you when you want to get money off future purchases via exchange.
Only reason I don?t rate them a zero is because their system is still the cheapest you will get used games that is easily accessible to everyone. Staff are relatively polite as well, I suppose.

Church selling Nintendo switch to them when I tried to sell certain Nintendo switch they claimed that I needed the HDMI cable. I needed several of bits of equipment that never even came in the box when I brought it and I certainly wasn?t gonna go out and pay for something just so I could sell it so no I don?t recommend CX in Coventry because there are a pile of nasty people

Always nice to visit CeX in town. Buy and sell to these guys all the time.
Also whoever played Candy Coated Lie$ by Hot Milk today (18th Jan) has a good taste in music and deserves a raise, that is a banger and wasn?t expecting to hear it.

This is the largest of the three CeX store, in Coventry. It is semi-protected under a canopy if you want to keep out of the weather.
The staff are approachable and helpful.
It?s always a good idea to download the CeX app to get an idea of the purchase or selling price of the product. Most products purchased will not be considered A rating which gives the best price rather B.
If you buy a B rated product it can range from nearly perfect to clearly scratched. You can grab a bargain if you get a top rated B grade.

Bought 2 controllers 1st was fine I ended up damaging the board on it after It dropped and the second one I got the receipt and threw it away because I saw it work inside and when I came come I saw stick drift 2 days later I come back to the shop and the stick was basically unusable it kept getting stuck in place and refused to help me ?
