The Boots Opticians themselves in Coventry city centre are extremely good for eye tests. They are thoughtful, considerate and efficient.However, the cost of spectacles at Boots is far too expensive. In these times, when the cost of living is rising sharply, one would think that Boots would be more considerate of their customers' general financial outlay. Anyway, there are local spectacle providers who will provide quality glasses at a fraction of the cost.

Rarely put bad reviews but the experience I had with this optician was pretty bad. I had to accompany my mom as she speaks poor english. The optician was straightway asking in an irritated manner "why are you here, if you already have been to an optician couple of months ago" we had to reply by saying that "if there wasn't an issue we wouldn't have bothered to come here". The duty of a doctor is to put at ease their patients no matter what instead of asking them questions in an irritating manner. Can't say much about staff either, extremely poor compared to Visionexpress and Specssavers as I have been to both before.As a customer representative you need to assist customers patiently even though they ask the same questions 100 time without telling them "I don't mean to be rude but I have already explained you 3 times". Obviously if you are treated poorly, sometimes you just remain shocked and don't have anything to say or comprehend.I, personally, was trained to assist customers in a respectful manner and assist them no matter how many times they asked the same questions or their inability to understand, as it is a fundamental requirement to have, and test your, patience when you work in customer service.Overall very poor service, extremely awful, we had never felt like that anywhere else before and it seemed like our presence sort of irritated the optician first, following with the lady who "assisted us". The management should keep an eye the way staff behave and ensure that even people who speak poor english are assisted in the same way as people who do speak well.
