Staff were incredibly friendly , quick and efficient, help was offered when choosing frames but was also left to look without being pressured. Optician was thorough and explained everything to me. Very pleased with all aspects of my visit.

Very poor customer service. Purchased 2 sets of glasses but couldn?t see through either of them. Asked for refund & said would come back after my holiday to retest & sort out new glasses & they said no. Spent 40 mins in shop arguing with the staff who kept on having to ring the director but still no assistance. One of the sets are sunglasses for my holiday & it?s too late to sort. I offered a compromise to refund the sunglasses only but they still said no. Disgusting! Why is the customer never right anymore & why do we have to be out of pocket & have to keep going back when they have made a mistake. I?m so disappointed & angry with the service that once they have sorted my glasses I?m not using them again. It?s my special birthday treat today & I?m so down about how I?ve been treated by boots opticians brownhills, I just don?t feel like I can enjoy it, so thank you boots. I?m not looking forward to going back in to the shop again & guarantee there will be no niceness from me. Never again will I use this place & I urge others to avoid too.

My boyfriend went here today because he had run out of contact lenses as they simply stopped delivered them without warning. He had to call them to be told that he was due for an eye test, and he was meant to be delivered a pair of contacts to wear during the test. He never got those, and the employee was just rude to him when he got to the test and asked him to put his contacts in, when he said he ran out ages ago, the man said "that doesn't make any sense."I'll tell you what doesn't make sense. Being rude to your customers and waking up a hardworking individual on a Saturday morning at 8 a.m. for absolutely no reason. They really don't care about people's health at all.

After only ten months, and for the second time, my new glasses were so strongly crazed with fine lines, not scratches, that it was impossible to read small print. A few days after my guarantee was up I asked for replacements or my money back for obviously defective goods. The response was your guarantee has expired and we can?t do anything. In 60 years of wearing glasses this defect has only happened on the two occasions noted above. If this has happened to you please join with me to complain to the Office of Fair Trading and Boots.

Shocking. Ordered monthly lenses arrived in post and they were the wrong prescription. Returned them to the shop and they ordered the correct ones. 2 weeks now and still no lenses apparently royal mail taking 10 days to deliver, said I may try online as getting desperate and was told doubt that will be any quicker. As got no faith in the person I spoke to decided to try an online retailer and within 24hrs lenses arrived by royal mail. I believe someone may have been misinformed, if not for my own actions would be right in a mess, thanks for nothing. Oh and cheaper online to.

I have been a patient here for 7 years and when i had a visible problem with my eye they refused to let me see an optician and instead told me to see the place where i got my glasses rather than them who actually gave me the prescription. This in fact prolonged my diagnosis as i was rushed to A and E and had to be treated for 5 days in the hospital due to the condition that had caused swelling in my optical nerve. Thankfully this was detected by costco opticians who immediately saw me when i came in free of charge.

After recently going to another opticians (Specsavers) for my glasses I now realise I have previously been ripped off at Boots. I have purchased two pairs of top quality varifocals from Specsavers for much less than I paid for one pair at Boots.

Having used this opticians for many years for eye tests it was obviously my first port of call when I suspected I had developed a potentially serious eye condition on the Sunday evening. On the Monday morning I rang them first thing and explained my situation. They told me they could not help as they were fully booked and directed me to their Bloxwich branch who told me the same thing. What great, caring, customer service.
