Entered the shop at 6pm to purchase a pair of sunglasses. Picked them up off the shelf and the shop manager came to ask if she could help. I said yes please can I get a pair of these. She replied no we are closing now. I told her it was my sons birthday in 2 days time and they were for him, please could I pay for them. She sharply said no we?re open tomorrow.I explained I could not get there tomorrow and asked if I could quickly pay. Told no I am cashing up even though another gent at the till was paying. She showed us out.Shocking service and loss of a £130 pound sale. Where is peoples kindness??Totally jobsworth and should not be a manger .

Two 2 yearly eyesight tests for me and my husband, thoroughly and pleasantly carried out by Mala Ward and Ravinder Basra. We were then served by Serena who was very patient and helpful with us choosing new glasses. We have been coming to Vision Express Merry Hill for many years and it?s good to see the same staff still here. Thanks again for a super service

Fabulous experience at Vision Express at Merry Hill, Dudley. All the staff were amazing. We felt looked after and the service was impeccable. This was mainly from Nish, who helped my Dad and I choose glasses. He was extremely helpful, friendly and gave us expert advice, without over selling us additions (like some opticians do). A generally lovely person too! Great service.

I am so happy with the team at Merryhill Centre - Dudley - had a contact lens fitting to find a new alternative - Adam tried a new brand with me, and they were great at first - however, when in the outside world they didn't quite work for me. I called the store, and they booked me right back in pretty much straight away, and Adam tried two more lenses for me - and wow, what a difference! Nothing is too much trouble for any of the team at this branch, if you need a recommendation from someone who is hard to please - then take this one - great team, great service and great products. Extra mile completed every time! :)

Had to wait a long time past my appointment time to be seen. Eye test was very thorough. Everything was explained in a way that could be understood, that is no jargon used. Assistant that helped me choose my glasses was very pleasant and friendly. Overall my experience was very good

I had my 2 yearly eye test with Jenny , and she was excellent and thorough. Jenny, was very good at explaining my results and the options , with regards to glasses. This is my first visit to Vision Express, and it won't be my last. Jamie, helped me find the right glasses to suit my face and was very helpful. Thank you, for a great experience. Sarah C

Good eye test with lovely optian and nice lady called Clare helped me choose a new pair of specs explaining all the different options and prices without being pushy.

Thank you so much to Georgia and Dawn who carried out my eye test today (22/06/2023) at the Merry Hill store. They did an amazing job despite it being extremely busy. Dawn, who I believe is currently training, did a fantastic job and it is apparent that she has been mentored well by Georgia. Thanks also to Vijay who conducted the final part of the assessment and explained everything clearly. Thanks again guys.

Due to problems with the new on line booking service there were double bookings and I waited an hour for my appointment. Had I been given a realistic overview of the delay I could have used that time wisely but i was not. Jenny the Optician was excellent as usual but must have been under extra pressure by the problems the on line system caused

So the beginning of choosing my new glasses was a pleasant experience.A very nice lady with dark shoulder length hair helped me to choose my glasses and was so friendly and helpful.The problems began on collection. A very patronising young lady (tall, light brown wavy hair with glasses) dealt with my new glasses, she asked me to put them on and asked me to turn left and right then she took my glasses away.What she returned with was absolutely awful and I immediately felt upset. She had bent the arms outwards. They fell off my face. I told her, the fit they were upon choosing them is how i would like them to be.She returned again, this time both the ear part of the arms were bent like hooks.At this point I am quite cross and asked her why she did that. To which she responded with "that's just how we adjust them" I stated I have other glasses and this was not done. She replied "its just common with this brand". I told her my other glasses are this brand. She then said it was that particular style. I then had to inform her my other glasses are also this style. Her excuses became embarrassing but it didn't deter her from continuing.At this point she really has nothing left to fob me off with so said she will try again. She returned they were still awful.I explained again, the fit they were upon choosing them, fitted me exactly right. Can I please have them how they originally were supposed to be. She continued patronising me by pretending she didn't understand what I wanted. I requested the display pair be looked at in order for her to understand what I want.She still returned again with them looking absolutely terrible but less bent at the ear.I am now left with expensive glasses that are slipping off my face from being bent outwards,holding on by cutting into the back of my ear.I couldn't argue my point any further, the girl was so pig headed about it. Through pure exhaustion I said OK and took them as they were.So disappointing, I don't know why people behave this way, why is customer service so diabolical these days? Just to mention the manager witnessed this entire thing and I'd hoped he would step in but he didn't.I wish I'd have asked for the original lady now. She was so kind and polite, she had listened to what I wanted.

Worst experience ive had in a long time firstly waiting 2 hours for eye test with no apologies, everyone elses was getting compensated for their wait, didn't offer me anything. Waited 2 weeks now havent got my glasses yet, they just rang me to tell me they've lost them now ive got to wait another 2 weeks.Wish i could give 0 stars
