I recently visited Nando’s and unfortunately had a disappointing experience due to poor communication and customer service.
I have allergies to eggs and nuts, which I clearly communicated to the manager when placing my order. I made a point of explaining my allergies upfront so appropriate care could be taken. I also asked for my food to be plain, with no sauce. However, when my food arrived, it had been prepared with mild spice, which I was told was due to a misunderstanding of my order. I asked for this to be corrected.
After this, another staff member brought me a wrap that only contained soya chicken pieces and halloumi, with no mayonnaise or salad. I politely pointed out that the mayonnaise was missing, which was then added. When I mentioned that the salad was also missing, the staff member became argumentative and stated that I must not have explained my order clearly to the manager.
I respectfully explained that the manager had taken my order and that I had clearly communicated both my order and my allergies, and that there may have been a miscommunication. The staff member then responded by saying that they know how to treat allergens as it is “the law.” I replied that while procedures may be in place, only someone living with allergies truly understands the seriousness and stress involved.
Rather than resolving the issue calmly and professionally, the interaction continued to feel dismissive. I ended the conversation politely by wishing them a nice day.
Given the seriousness of food allergies, I expected better communication, care, and customer service. Unfortunately, this experience did not meet those expectations.

Nando?s never fails to disappoint, however, today?s visit has particularly special. Having Elliot take our order was the highlight. he made us feel welcomed and was super friendly. I?ve been to many 5star restaurants and his service was up there with them all, kindness goes a very long way :)

Couldn't get a table as they were short staffed and was told a lot was off the menu anyway. My granddaughter who turned 13 that day, new year day was very disappointed. The staff who did speak to us were apologetic and pleasant, it obviously isn't their fault as they turned up for work, this review is no reflection on them.

Been here a couple of times in the last 3 months. Always polite fast service and never a problem to query anything. Always solved ..

Got there to be told wait was 20 minutes which was ok but upon looking around there was loads of tables empty ,after being seated i noticed people walking out , then as my son was ordering on the app they had run out of certain foods ie garlic bread,chicken wings ,, then over heard the manager tell the staff on the door they only had 10 chicken burgers left ,staff was rude especially the lady manager, we was seated just down from the door which was left open alot I had to keep asking them to close it it was freezing, when I asked if it could be shut she just looked at me , never spoke, u was going to walk out but my son wouldn't let me ,I won't be going there again

Staff were very friendly and courteous.
Nice place and atmosphere but the portions were small for the price.

Went on boxing day and it was half empty inside was expecting to be seated within minutes..but the door staff said it's a 20 mins wait due to low staff ..I would have thought Nandos being a big organisation would have had ample staff on boxing day .. bearing in mind even being seated would have been fine and waiting for food but 20 mins just to be seated while more then 50 percent of tables are empty is not good

Normally I find the food very good not a long wait and food is always fresh but visited yesterday had 2 hummus starters, we thought it tasted a little bit different(sour) but we thought it was us, my 12 month old baby ate it my husband and me barring in mind I am pregnant, got home and early hours in the morning had extremely bad stomach pains and my daughter screaming in pain, went to the hospital and got told it was food poisoning so something must of been out of date and I think by the taste it was the hummus, normally food is perfect and no problem but definitely won?t be ordering that again.
