It's not as fancy as it is made out. Just been back after a couple of (expensive) months away due to injury and illness, and noticed things I hadn't previously. The family changing rooms are in a poor state of repair, puddled floor, paint peeling off walls, corners, nooks and crannies dirt etc.They have an issue with the heating currently too that's been going on for some time, and the pool filtration isn't good, as it's perpetually collecting sand on the floor.It's great if you play racket sports, but for anything else you probably don't get value for money, even on a corporate discount.Edit: pool heating is sorted, but the rest is still a bit iffy.

Shambles. Have been a member for over 2 years and the standards have done nothing but plumit. This week the men?s changing room stinks of Urine due to all 3 urinals leaking all over the changing room floor, the place is swimming in piss. This is not a new problem, I have photos dating back 6months with the exact same scenario, and stench! ? Yet I have never seen anybody working on the issue.The puddles of urine from the bathroom inevitably get walked all around the club, into the lounge where food is served, onto the tennis courts and up into the gym - it is so unsanitary and quite frankly disgusting.But we will get an email in a few months saying membership is going up to £80 so we can reinvest in the facilities. The only investment I see is the manager investing hours upon hours of her time sending out apology emails on a weekly basis to explain why the boiler has broke, or why the ceiling has caved in etc.No I don?t want a guest pass, I want you to make some basic improvements and stop increasing membership price until an adequate standard is achieved. If you want to be labelled a premium health club, act like one.

Fabulous facilities, friendly staff and amazing service - I left a positive review on the in-house system and had a response before I?d finished my tea. Amazing place, helpful staff. Would that my home David Lloyd were as good?

£84 a month and the place is falling apart.Returned from a years break, there?s buckets everywhere as the ceiling is falling in. The indoor pool is always freezing. Today, one urinal on offer but full to the brim of urine. I?m sorry but you can?t expect to have a premium brand status but offer this sub service.This is testament to the lack of investment the company has made in the building and it?s now finally showing.I sincerely hope new toilets are on the cards when you refurbish the showers?

Been a member for 12 years, gone right down hill, dirty changing rooms that stink hardly changed the interior in all that time and The foods a joke and takes about 45 minutes. Struggle to get use of equipment when its busy. Not to mention the facilities are a disgrace and are rarely working, shocking compared to other DL clubs.i prefer to drive 40 minutes to bromsgrove DL for a nice experience. Beyond a joke.

Honestly the place is falling apart, nothing works, staff are rude and the stories I could share from the past two years membership are wild. Agree with reviews below, manager is rude, unhelpful, unapproachable and dismissive of any negative feedback. Recently escalated a complaint to her and then her area manager after we had been working there and overheard a David Lloyd member of staff taking customer service calls and then coming off the phone to David Lloyd customers making SEVERAL negative personal remarks, and joking about how much we pay. Shocking really considering the heating hasn?t worked for ever, the ladies changing room ceiling fell down, outside cold shower doesn?t work, sauna hasn?t been to temp on more than one occasion amongst a list of other issues. We haven?t been in months and they still make us pay the membership fees rather than letting us terminate our contract and walk - JOKE! They know they are making us pay for a service we aren?t using, and haven?t for WEEKS but they don?t care. Zero customer service or care. Honestly, don?t join, you?ll be disappointed - you?ll pay a premium membership fee for sub-par services and dated facilities.

Kiera has been exceptional in ensuring my autistic 7yr old daughter is suitable for classes, she has introduced me to members of the DLkids team who have asked me questions regarding her autism and who had a good knowledge of additional needs - this has reassured me she is going to be well looked after during her classes, providing her with important interaction and me with a welcome break so a special thanks to Kiera and the DLkids team. I have rejoined the club recently and in the year i was away it has had many improvements - a big draw for me is the friendliness of the staff and the many different classes, tennis etc for the kids and myself

I came on a tour as I was interested in starting DL due to friend recommendations. A employee called Cameron gave me the tour and really sold me on it. He was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions while ticking boxes i didn?t even know I wanted. I signed up that same day. Would definitely recommend people to ask for him if they have any questions!

I was dealt with by Cameron. He was a warming gentleman. He was able to answer all my questions and put me at ease about any concerns i had. I would definitely recommend asking for Cameron when getting started at the club.

Worst place ever we got married here abit ago and was my biggest regret the function room was a dump broken glass out side wedding favours wasn't even put out on the tables we paided alot of money for the food and the food wasn't even brought out they just did loads of pasta and cake wasn't even put on the stand the place was run by teenagers who didn't have a clue what to do when we look back on it now they ruined the day for us I don't want apologies from David Lloyd we want to warn people that the place is a massive dump and wouldn't even waste your money on the place the lady who sorted the venue couldn't even give us a good answer for why it went so wrong, the place is just a massive jokeBIGGIEST WASTE OF MONEY EVER
