Went to buy my son's 1st shoes and we was served by Aleeza F. And she did not want to be in work today.
She measured me son's feet and then left us to it, had to go after her for help,
She then left us to help another family who she stayed with and helped and them questions and had forgotten about us, must be the colour of our skin.
I used work for Clarks years back, and I can honestly say customer service has gone.
We then had to ask another staff member to help us.
Don't think we will be going back to Clarks Merry Hill again.

The staff were quite rude and clearly didn't want to help me, all I needed to do was pay for some wellies, they were already on the shelf in pairs and it took 15 minutes before I was served. No acknowledgement from the staff of il be with you soon. I will avoid this shop in the future.

Good system in place when it?s a busy time of year where you get measured outside the shop and then come in for a ticket. We didn?t have to wait long at all before being seen to.
Had shoes in stock for our little one despite her being a small size.
Felt a bit rushed with the experience and to choose which shoes, however, do understand that it?s a busy time of year.

Visited the Clarks store in Merry Hill late on Thursday evening (2/5/24) after appointment at Boots opticians. Husband and I were exhausted but as he was having trouble with his shoes and Clarks is right next door I thought we should make the effort and see if we could find anything suitable.
The young girl, I?m sorry I can?t remember your name, was helpful. She brought out sizes 11 and 12 for every shoe tried, as well as a choice of colours, and a wide fitting where it was possible. She even offered a solution, by way of using in soles, which did the trick for one of the pairs of shoes we eventually bought.
She was patient as my husband took time trying on a few pairs - finding it difficult to use the small shoe horn. I didn?t want to help too much as I needed him to find a pair that he?d be able to put on easily himself.
She was courteous, which is always a delight to see in young people when a lot of them are not.
In sum, she was professional, and we both wanted to thank her for her time. We bought 3 pairs in the end: 2 shoes and 1 pair of slippers. The leather slippers are really cute and I can only imagine they will improve over time.
Thank you for a stellar shopping experience! Five stars ??????????

Very over priced and measurements change shape and size every visit... Even if only a few weeks apart. No prices shown on displayed shoes, very few choices in styles, you can often find Clarks online cheaper and it always feels like buying Clarks is what 'good parents' do... When in reality it's just snobbery and keeping up with the Jones'.. I don't want to spend my money somewhere that makes me feel less of a good parent if I go elsewhere. I tried to ask for cheapest options, asking for comparison of online sales prices etc, but really made to feel that I was only embarrassing myself in asking. As long as you get your children shoes that are not too tight or loose, that don't rub and that fulfil any school requirements... The branding is irrelevant. It's about time Clarks upped their game to be more about value and less about an outdated inference that they are the only children's shoes that properly care for their feet adequately. After buying one pair here I bought trainers and snow boots (both on sale and collectively cheaper than the first pair) elsewhere. Found shoes my older daughter prefers, feels more comfortable in and were measured by the same method by staff for, at a quarter of the price.. yes they were a thinner leather... But I am having to replace Clarks every 6 months ... I'd rather she have more choice and better prices and replace them every 3-4 months if necessary. Clarks are grown out of so quickly they need replacing even if they are still in good condition.

I bought a pair of walking shoes in the sale at one of the few places I can get shoes to fit my orthotics as they were a size 4E. Great job ?
