Although not a patient here, optician saw me at short notice as I had been having an issue with my right eye for around 10 days. My own optician couldn't see me for several days and another optician had mis-diagnosed my condition following me sending them photographs followed by a telephone consultation. The optician at Boots (Aman Bains) was simply excellent. She thoroughly examined the eye, diagnosed the issue and carried out a small procedure there and then. This was followed by a further appointment 2 days later to ensure all was well with my eye, which thankfully it was. Brilliant service, very much appreciated.

I have been calling their number for a week, just rings out until it cuts you off. Who manages these businesses to ignore customers on a daily basis. Obviously they don't need more business.

A Wednesday afternoon and it's like a daycare centre. Super disorganised and slow service.

I've brought my mother for a hearing test because they also do hearing aids and glasses. She has insurance on her hearing aids she paid over a thousand pounds on but unfortunately Boots say the insurance doesn't cover accidental damage snd my mother will have to pay £150 for a piece of plastic less than an inch in diameter; this is only the case not the mechanism. So I wrote Boots customer service an email informing them of my mother's loyalty to them over the years and also that her husband passed away a short while ago and this has cost her most of the money she had and being 81 she only gets her state pension. She's received a letter from Boots saying there's nothing they can do at all. We only wished for a reduction on the repair not the repair for nothing and a Billion pound company can't help. Well Boots I will never buy any product from any of your stores and I'm talking my mother into the same hopefully.
EPISODE 2.
I had to take my mom back for her hearing test again due to a problem 2 weeks ago where she was informed that there was an electronic note on Boots computer system that mom could have the hearing aid fixed for £99. So today Sunday 9th of September 2018 I take mom back and her broken hearing aid to Boots to have the hearing aid sent off to be fixed. A different audiologist to the last one, he informed us there are 2 notes on their electronic system, one says £99 and the other says the repair is £150 so the audiologist says he can't charge the lower price in case mom has to pay the higher price. What a wasted journey and I'm sorry Boots but you seem like a bunch of idiots to me. Is it so expensive because we have to help pay for all the staff standing around chatting? If the discount was applied now I've wasted what mom could have saved on fuel and time dealing with these idiots.
