I stopped here to take a shower as a truck driver. The parking area is very poorly marked, especially at night, despite being illuminated. It?s unclear where exactly you can park. I went to the restroom. While the toilets appear to have been renovated based on a review from two years ago, the showers leave much to be desired. There are only two very small cabins, and it?s nearly impossible not to get your clothes wet while using them. However, I didn?t even take a shower because there?s only cold water. I?m heading to another service area instead.
It?s clear that WHSmith?s customer service takes interest in these reviews, but nothing is being done about the issues. My suggestion is simple: instead of replying that the matter has been reported, get to work and provide decent facilities for drivers. At the moment, the strategy you?re taking makes you seem completely incompetent. Stop going around in circles and create proper, reasonable conditions for people who live on the road and return home just once a week.

I had an extremely unpleasant experience at WHSmith on 17.08.2024 around 18:10. The woman behind the counter was incredibly rude and dismissive. I was shocked by her unprofessional attitude and lack of basic customer service skills. I?ve always considered WHSmith to be a reputable store, but this encounter has left a very sour taste in my mouth. I expect better treatment as a customer, and this experience has certainly made me reconsider shopping here in the future. Very disappointing

I spent 10:40pm to get a coffee from the Costa machine (inside WHSmith), I was with my daughter, and received terrible service from a lady, who was rude and said ?be quick and go your home now?.
I work with the public and this is not how we treat people! If you want to be rude to people, don't leave the house, work alone!

I stayed at Travelodge Frankley for 1 night. Will definitely not stay here again, the noise from the motorway was awful. The television didn't work, when asking for another room was told all room were fully booked. Very unhappy, never staying here again.

Far too hot in bedroom, felt like the heating was on maximum! You need to install air conditioning as a priority! Absolutely ridiculous in this day and age not to have it installed already! Most hotels have it installed so why don?t you?

A family member we were visiting booked for us and was weary about staying on services but it was comfy, clean and surprisingly quite. Free and ample parking. Staff were friendly and so helpful with lots of info for us and making sure all was OK and we were happy. A special mention to Kerry, Steve and Julie who made us feel very welcome from check in to check out. Would definitely recommend and stay again. Thankyou

There is a new barrier to the access of this hotel which causes issues. It is there to stop people exiting the motorways and you will need a code from reception. The hotel staff are always helpful even if they're busy.

Absolutely filthy, there was a huge clump of pubic hair in our bathroom and the shower curtain pole was covered in rust the bath was stained. There was water marks on the picture. And to top it off we was woke at midnight to the fire alarm going off when there was no fire

I generally stay at Travelodge Hotels for Business and Pleasure, and as per normal, this hotel was extremely good value, and in a good location. Ample parking, and my room was clean and tidy, though the hotel is a little tired now.

I stay here on a regular basis would definitely recommend travel lodge to family and friends well worth the money good night's sleep the only down fall is no breakfast but with the service station only 5min walk

It was clean and tidy, very welcoming and friendly. Staff was very helpful and polite. Rooms were warm and cosy. Came here for 2 nights and I'm already looking at another time to visit. Will be booking again in the near future thank you.

It?s really noisy here and basic beds quite hard too. I?ve stayed twice just because it?s an easy place to stop and simple check in with services adjacent so it definitely has its ups and downs ????..

Very convenient location just a short wall to the service station facilities if you need them. The staff were very polite and helpful with a minor problem fixed very quickly. A little external maintenance is needed.

I am writing to express my disappointment with the level of service I received during my recent stay at your hotel. Unfortunately, I had an unpleasant experience with one of your receptionists, Kerry. I requested to change my room due to the heat and my brother's medical condition, but Kerry was very rude and refused to help. She told me that all the rooms were fully booked and that there was nothing she could do about it. I was very disappointed with the way she handled the situation, especially given my brother's medical condition. Fortunately, another receptionist, Zarha, was kind enough to move us to a more suitable room that same afternoon. While I appreciate the other receptionist's help, I still feel that it is important for everyone to know about the negative experience I had with the first receptionist. In addition to this, I experienced issues with the cleanliness of my room. During my four-night stay, my room was not cleaned at all. I brought this to the attention of the receptionist twice during my stay, and she assured me that she would leave a note for the cleaners. However, no one came to clean my room or even provide clean towels or bed sheets. I hope that you will take the necessary steps to ensure that your staff are trained to provide a higher level of service to guests in the future.
