First, the positive. The food was tasty. But, sadly, the service let the experience down. When other tables around you are served before you despite being seated a fair bit after you, it irks a bit. When you then get the waiter's attention and they hold up their index finger and tell you to wait your turn it's even more of a wind up.

This is a family friendly restaurant, with accommodation for wheel chairs and buggies. We enjoyed the dish and the waitress was very polite and kind. Will come again.
Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly menu. Also got some crayons and coloring sheet.
Wheelchair accessibility: They have a wheelchair accessible entrance.

Horrendous service by the waiter Ash. Looked like he'd come dressed for a football match in shorts and tee shirt and he was incredibly rude.

My dining partner and I stopped by for a late lunch after our train arrived at the Birmingham New Street station. It was busy but not crowded and we were shown to our table right away. We were able to slip our luggage under the table, which was appreciated. Service was competent and prompt. The atmosphere was nice, though the music was a bit too loud. The food arrived within a short delay. We ordered a spicy curry and a beef ramen. This is where things get disappointing. The curry dish was not a Japanese curry at all, but a westernized Chinese sweet and hot dish. The ramen was a pale imitation of real Japanese ramen with a thin broth with no depth and noodles that didn't have much flavor. The beef was spicy and tender, and tasted of BBQ. The kimchi was fine, but the flavor profile was a little one-dimensional. The food wasn't bad, but we were sorely disappointed that it wasn't Japanese, as promised.

I experienced racist behaviour by one of the staff. While I entered the place and was looking to reserve a table for later, 4 white guys thought I am jumping the queue and started having an argument with me. Meanwhile a guy from Wagamama came from inside and when I asked him to book me a table for later. To my shock he refused me the table stating that He would not allow me inside since I had argument with 4 white guys. He without trying to understand what happened literally refused me a table and All of them bullied me in front of my son, wife and mother in law. I had no option but to file official complaint with police. Police later on let the manager off with a warning. Please beware of racist staff at this place.

Jawed was the best host. Litreally the best you can get from the recommendation of food to the service everything was quick and easy.
