No restaurant so you get a ?breakfast box? to take away and eat (there?s nowhere to sit and eat it either). Feels run down, and the surrounding area is very noisy at night and because there?s no aircon in the rooms you have to sleep with the window open. Very comfy bed though.

Have loved staying here. The bed is very comfy extra pillows. Room clean and quite big with a decent sized bathroom. Hairdryer available from reception. Staff so friendly helpful and nice. They even gave me a local taxi number. Close to shops pubs restaurants and just a little walk to city centre and bullring. We're back in a couple of weeks and im really looking forward to it. Please check bedbugs! - I was bitten around several parts and have had to prescribe strong medicine. Also check the shower if it works properly - I wasted for 20 minutes in the morning to run the shower during my busy schedule. Body shampoo container was broken and so dirty inside.

Our standard room plus was really badly laid out, the TV was at the side of the bed which made viewing uncomfortable when it would have been better on the wall of the bathroom. Only 2 plug sockets in the room and none by the bed.
Loads of empty space that just seems such a waste, bathroom smelt of urine and the toilet had trouble flushing properly. The singular operational lift was a farce and took ages. This hotel needs a refurbishment.
The staff member at the desk we encountered was friendly and helpful.

A very good budget hotel. The rooms are clean and well presented and the location is just right for the centre of Birmingham. The staff were very helpful, not only with such things as extra towels, but also advice on what to see and do while in Birmingham.

Location of the hotel is excellent. Everything is nearby including Sainsbury's, tram station, casino, movie theatre, paid parking.
Nearest car park is euro car park with walking distance of 5-7mins.
Hotel rooms were ok. Toilets were not that clean and was smelling weird.
We booked it few weeks ago before we visit so it was great value in holiday season for us.

Worst hotel in Birmingham. The room was booked for a month (August). They took the payment upfront. The room was dirty, had no table or fridge. The mattresses were stained and the room had a stinky smell. Reported to reception and they couldn't care less. The room was not cleaned for 10 days so went to reception to report. They said.. speak to customer services. Decided to leave this hotel after 15 days. Do not book this hotel unless you are absolutely desperate :(

If you like partying, clubs and pubs this travelodge is in a great location on the strip of Birmingham broad street, it gets loud and sometimes trouble at night especially weekends. Easy access to groceries shops next foot. The room was a bit disappointing blood on carpet and the bath wasn't that clean. Have stayed in nearly all the travelodges in Birmingham and it's my least favorite mainly because of the location but ideal for party goers

This Travelodge is in a great position within the city centre. Reception staff were polite and helpful. One lift was out of action and the other was really slow. Bedroom was clean and comfortable, soft towels in the bathroom. The hotel in general was looking a bit tired though.

Good location, staff were friendly, noisy location but once the windows were closed it's not bad and we had a good night's sleep.

I am deeply disturbed by what happened during my recent stay at the Travelodge in Birmingham Broad Street. While preparing to get into the shower, a male staff member entered my room without proper warning, despite a clear ?Do Not Disturb? sign on the door. I was alone, half-naked and shocked. He was not housekeeping but claimed he needed to check the alarm. Even if that were true, he was repeatedly asked to leave and refused, going so far into the room that the door actually closed behind him.
Let?s be clear, no staff member should ever enter a room uninvited when someone is inside, especially when it?s a woman alone in a vulnerable state. The fact that he stayed despite being told to leave, and entered that far, is absolutely unacceptable and left me feeling fearful and unsafe.
When I reported this to reception and later when my husband also raised it after returning, we were met with dismissive excuses about the staff member ?just doing his job.? I?m sorry, but his job should not include ignoring a guest?s repeated requests to leave or violating someone?s privacy in such a serious way.
This is a major red flag for any women considering staying here alone, and also for families, especially those with daughters.
On top of that, the bathroom smelled strongly of urine and trash, which just added to the overall discomfort of the stay.
Travelodge, you need to do better ? this isn?t just about poor hygiene or maintenance; this is about guest safety and basic human decency. I hope management takes this seriously and ensures this never happens to anyone else.

I?ve stayed in travellodges up and down the country with work! This was by far the WORST experience I?ve had. To wake up with bug bites all over my body! Absolutely disgusting! When I went down to reception to report this, they replied back with 6 months ago we had bed bugs on the same floor as my room (which obviously hadn?t been resolved then to have them back) by far the worst hotel I?ve ever been too.
