This is the second time I've stayed here and both times it was been really good. Staff are very friendly, rooms are clean and quiet at night. Breakfast was good too. There was some noise outside the hotel but that's to be expected in the city centre.

I had a very unpleasant experience during my recent stay at this Travelodge. While I was there, I witnessed a very unprofessional incident between a member of the front desk staff and the kitchen chef.
The receptionist went into the kitchen, and shortly after, I heard her shouting at the chef, telling them they were not allowed to go home. The chef calmly explained that they were not contracted to work beyond their scheduled hours and that they had already been told when to start their shift. Despite this, the receptionist began shouting again, stormed out, and continued arguing on the phone outside.
I felt incredibly sorry for the chef, who had been nothing but polite and cheerful while serving guests with a smile. It was very uncomfortable to witness this situation, and it created an unpleasant atmosphere in the hotel.
I was shocked by how unprofessional the staff member at reception behaved, and I truly hope management addresses this issue. Guests should not have to witness such behavior, and staff should be treated with respect.

Kinda clean. Dirty towel. Bed creaked. Loud. Rusty bathing facilities. Okay for one night.

Clean and comfy. A little basic but that's Travelodge. A little worn down with marks and scuffs in places, so not perfect. I stayed in a room right next to the door to the stairs. I was woken up a few times by it slamming and on one occasion it slammed so hard the bed shook!
Can't fault the staff who were welcoming, polite and helpful.
Location is convenient. I was approached by a homeless person one night on the quiete street which might be intimidating for some. Not much the hotel can do about that but I think it's fair to make the comment in respect to the location/neighbourhood and for others to consider when booking.

The rooms are small, no plugs by bed to charge phones and have it by the bed whilst in bed. No A/C just desk fan, so very hot.

Stayed for one night and found it to be clean with friendly staff.
The breakfast was nice and hot. The chef apologise for a five minute wait Whilst he refilled the breakfast, which was not a problem at all as it was a nice hot and fresh. The two ladies that were working in the restaurant part are very friendly and helpful, checking That every thing was refilled quickly as it suddenly got busy at 8:30 in the morning. Visited Thursday 24th-Friday 25th July

I had a very unpleasant experience during my stay. The room was poorly maintained ? lights were not working properly, making it feel gloomy. There were no proper curtains, which meant zero privacy and too much light in the early morning. The bathroom was even worse: no shower gel (and the dispenser didn?t work anyway), and no toilet paper provided at all. They put the used one. These are the most basic essentials, and it?s unacceptable for any hotel to overlook them. Definitely not worth the price, and I won?t be returning.

Perfect for Utilita Arena, only a 10 min walk along the canal. Also 10 min walk from McDonald's the other way and 5 min walk from Tesco Express. Friendly staff, with late bar opening. They allow dogs too which was fab. Highly recommend

Chef was brilliant girl on reception could of been a bit more welcoming next week i will try premier inn. Was put off by rude reception lady and the toilets is like fort knox .

Ideally located 10mins walk from shops and 8mins walk along the canal to the Utilita Arena. Nice clean rooms only downside, no air con, but fans were supplied in rooms.
