Visited The Plough for a dinner - the 2 for 1 pizza deal was great value and the pizzas were fresh and tasty. Was looked after by a wonderful server called sheila who was very attentive and ensured everything went smoothly.Will definitely be visiting again when in the area.

I love the Plough! The atmosphere is amazing and the food is so amazing! The deals that they do are brilliant and definitely worth the money! I could not recommend this place enough it's wonderful

Been here before and loved it, so I went for lunch and I've been left extremely disappointed. Firstly it was dirty, the tables and chairs weren't cleaned properly and were still sticky. The menus were covered in food. Then there wasn't an ordering tablet on our table so when I went to ask a staff member a) it took ages for someone to actually acknowledge me b) I was made to feel like I'd really inconvenienced them. I ordered the wild mushroom tagliatelle and I could only eat half, it tasted of nothing just pure oil.Disappointed.

Walked in at 4pm, not that busy but not quiet. Was served by a girl in glasses who placed my wife and I out the way, on some sofas which were disgusting and had bits of food between them. Sat there for 10 minutes with not a single member of staff acknowledging us. Noticed that we were the only table that didn?t have a tablet to order on. Suspect the whole experience could be a race-related issue as we are Asian, but not sure. Very odd experience and the second time it?s happened. Very very poor

Lovely evening!Came here last night for belated Birthday meal with a friend.On arrival, as it was my Birthday celebration, I got a glass of prosecco which is a really nice gesture.We were seated and the waitress bought over a glass of water for the table.Drinks order was taken quickly and when the Drinks were bought out, we ordered food.We both had the Cuban sandwich with fries (chicken) and it was amazing!Service was quick and the food was hot and fresh. The Paprika sauce that came with it was lovely!Overall, a lovely evening and I would highly recommend!Great value for money and all the staff were great.I will definitely be returning soon!

I had a birthday lunch celebration here this weekend with 9 of my friends and our 2 young children. The food and drinks were good and served quickly with the new order yourself at the table process.The thing that is sticking in my mind though is the treatment we had with our toddler. Her dinner came and the plate was red hot, as in, the servers could hardly hold the plate it was that hot so we asked for a cold plate so that we could transfer the meal onto it. Bear in mind this meal was for a 3 year old, any parent would do the same! And the attitude we got about it stank. They couldn?t understand why we were asking(?!), they took the meal away (even though we only asked for a cold plate), took ages to come back with it and when they did they practically threw the plate at our daughter. A 3 year old child guys. Such a bizarre attitude and has really put me off going again if that?s how they treat families.A plate hotter than the sun is not appropriate for a 3 year old.

Spent a couple of hours in The Plough, this evening and have to say not only disappointed with the service but disappointed with hospitality and empathy provided.I will start with the service as that is easier to detail. No signs and (asone of our group is a regular)we were surprised to be told they no longer take cash.Surprisingly though, within a couple of minutes of rejecting a cash payment from one of our group they accepted a cash payment by another patron.Could it be that our party member did not have the same colour of skin?So. we move on to empathy and within minutes of taking a cash payment from the gent he was approached by a member of staff, to be told they wouldn?t serve him anymore and he would need to leave, as he was drunk.The gent left with no trouble at allIn fact if you were a patron this evening you would not even have noticed him leaving or the previous discussion but given we were so close we did.On the gent exiting I raised the attention of the member of staff?s/trainee manager attention and said do realise that gent had mental health issues and was not intoxicated as you suggested to him .His response was this is something I am learning as a trainee manager.- but you served him, you made an allowance that he was paying cash and within a few moments of serving him you were asking him to leave - that isn?t fair?His response was I am training and trying to learn this - but surely if you are unsure and are in training you take guidance and help, don?t just embarrass that guy?The trainee manager then left us and went to his female manager. Who then took photos of us on her mobile phone? Why? who knows why but surely if she doesnt agree, customer service would be to discuss the points with us?I am happy that we are in a public place so cctv is in force but to stilltake images why? ??.. because I stood up for a man they served and then decided they didn?t want to on their premises?
