Worst opticians ever I had and eye test and new glasses told them I still couldn?t see with new lenses they did not care and gaslit me and the staff hete have no customer service skills so rude and lazy

From start to finish the experience and way the store was ran was clearly apparent and very professional. Everyone was polite and knew what they were doing. This made for a.smootb and effective process

I had a very disappointing experience at Specsavers. I was called and asked to come in straight away to be seen for a trial of contact lenses. I explained that I had another appointment, but they assured me it would be quick. Unfortunately, the lady in charge of contact lenses took ages.
I asked if I could leave and come back later, as previously agreed with another contact lens specialist I saw a week before (who was very professional and pleasant man) the plan was simply to try the lenses, and if everything was fine, order a six-month supply. One receptionist said this was fine, but another insisted I return the trial lenses and book another set of trials instead. My husband had the same experience ordering trials with Vision express, his experience was far more pleasant.
The inconsistency, lack of clear communication, and disregard for my time left me frustrated. I ended up leaving without the trial lenses and without any intention of returning to Specsavers.
Little update: They sent me a text saying they had trial lenses after my honest review, to only say that they could not find my details and closed my account. Absolutely unprofessional, if this is how they treat customers who give feedback, I strongly recommend finding another optician.

Been here a few times, good service, wide variety of frames. However my last visit (15/08/25) was a bit disappointing. I made an appointment over the phone for 9am, once I got there, they told me, our appointment was at 9.35am. We interacted with 5 workers and 3 of them where so cranky if not even rude, we were holding ourselves back from leaving the store. However once the optician showed up for the official eye test, we were glad we stayed. She was friendly and polite.

Had a great experience at Specsavers on New Street. The staff were friendly, professional, and really took the time to explain everything clearly. The eye test was thorough, and I felt looked after from start to finish. Would definitely recommend this branch for great service and care. Thank you guys

Fantastic overall experience - all staff were helpful, warm and welcoming. Birmingham New Street is an absolute credit to specsavers brand. Having only just moved to Birmingham last year the service levels are much greater than Leicester.

This is the second time I visited Specsavers but first time to this branch. Appreciate this is a busy store, but the staffs were not that professional and helpful. During my eye test,, the process was very quick and was way more faster than I previously had in Liverpool even I mentioned some of my concerns with my eyes.
The pricing also unclear especially the contact lens part. Outside sales staffs were a bit rude and lost my form and prescription from the optician. Overall bad experience
