Worst experience I?ve ever had in Sobar and I?ve been going there for years. I don?t know if there?s a new manager but the short dark haired man supposedly responsible for the club clearly has a very bad case of little man syndrome. Very big for his boots and seems to have a superiority complex and feel like the big (small) ?I am?. I?ve never been spoken to in such an appalling way in my life, we were invited into VIP by a group and the security staff let us through, no problems - we were having a great night. After going to the toilet and coming back he virtually spat in our faces shouting ?GET OUT, YOU DON?T HAVE A WRISTBAND? - some of my belongings were at the table so I simply replied, ?Can I go and get my things, I left my bag over there? to which he replied ?WHY WOULD I CARE, THIS IS MY CLUB. COULDN?T CARE LESS ABOUT ANY OF THAT? - The capitals are emphasising the way he shouted at me like I was a wild animal. Birmingham club scene is in the bin, such a disgusting interaction and I?m not used to being spoken to like this so it certainly came as a surprise. I won?t be returning or funding this club, I don?t know if he got out of the wrong side of the bed or if he?s always like this but even the club staff who were around at the time looked shocked and embarrassed, so it seems to be common practice for this horrid man. This is no way to handle young women and I?m still in shock. After writing this I have a good mind to put in a formal complaint as it?s triggering to even relive and the public humiliation was even worse. This is Arcadian not Mayfair, embarrassing.

Went for a night out with a few friends in Sobar and from the second we stepped in we were treated with great appreciation, from the door staff, bar to even managers passing by on the night they all really went the extra mile. It ensured we had a great night from the get go. The atmosphere was fantastic and DJs played really well on the night. Would definitely recommend to anybody looking for a night out in Birmingham! Sobar will be seeing us again for sure.

Worst security staff. These guys are ruining the good premises. They make customers feel like that they are thieves.

Mediocre DJ. Play some playboi carti, playlist was wack. I?m not dancing to them mid songs, empty sticky ?dancefloor?

Awful night, rude staff, paid excessive amount to be given our 5 bottles at 3am when it was empty. Bad atmosphere - to all bar staff if you don?t like your job leave because the customer service made the fact it smelt and was dirty 10 x worse.

One star cause I cant write less. I had bubble shoes (same model as bouncer) and he did not allow us in.

Good place to dance and have a great time, drink like the beer at £5 is a bit pricy for Birmingham however the music is great and good vibe.

It?s ok, quite mid. Drinks weren?t strong, paid for a double could taste mainly red bull. The strawberry daiquiri wasn?t amazing. The vibe is roadmen touching women they find attractive and stand offish people on phones. Not really my scene but good for a dance as I like music played. Tried some chips from upstairs which were also average. Overall an typical night club for Arcadian area.

Birmingham Pride was on Saturday 27th May 2023 and I spoke with Steve and he arranged a large area to be reserved for our colleagues and family/ friends to get together after the parade. Steve and his team could not be any more accommodating. The atmosphere was electric, the Dj was fantastic and the staff, despite the big group of us ensured the drinks kept flowing. Not to mention we had 3 dogs with us and the staff ensured they had a cool area inside out of the sun and provided water bowls for them. Will definitely be returning to Sobar, not just next year for Pride but when ever we can in between now and then. Thank you again all!Kid-friendliness: We had a few younger children with us and the staff were more than welcomingWheelchair accessibility: one of our group was in a wheelchair and was able to get around easily due to 1 level and a ramp

We had the pleasure of spending a few hours on Saturday where SOBAR was booked for our pride event, the staff catered for all our needs from our fur babies to the music, nothing was too much trouble, amazing atmosphere we will be back x

I had a great time at this nightclub! The music was fantastic and the atmosphere was really enjoyable. Although I'm not a big fan of crowded places, I found the downstairs area to be really cool and vibey. The drink service was quick and efficient, which is always a plus. Overall, I had a great experience here.

Bouncers don't give a fxck.. queue inside is longer than the queue outside. Like bro, you're not that special.. man are just tryna drink and have a good night. You the reason why some these gyal think they so stoosh.. do better man, come one bruv
