The manager is a moron

I have a child with mental illness. I bought him a robot from this store as a sociologist advised to buy him this sort of toys. Of course I opened the box and tried with my child to play with it. From the very first moment he scared off and never touched it. Then I packed it again. I kept it for almost 10 days every time showing him he just scare and run away. The toy is in brand new condition never been played with. Today I went back to the store and tried to explain to the guy there what happened. Since I was in the queue I noticed the way he looking at me. I wasn?t confident with the way he looking. Like he pre agreed that he will not return it. I explained why I am returning this item, and he said no we can?t accept it and that is the policy, which I am sure he knows nothing about it. Before me was to more gentlemen in the queue and they did return something smoothly with no issues. After I told him my son is scared of it and he has a mental illness which makes him scared. He said no we can?t. Then I knew my brown hair is the issue not the store policy.

Sell good stuff don?t get me wrong but they literally NEVER answer the phone I prefer to call so I know whatever I?m looking for is in stock before I waste my time walking there, they have a phone number but never answer it ????

Brought a ball pit for our 10month old. Within 10min knew that this product is very poorly constructed.I wanted to take it back due to a waste of £45 on an inferior product. (Was told no on account of health & hygiene. Which on one level I understand) 2nd that this product had never been brought back before. (This isn't my problem)A mental note. If it turns out the expensive product you have brought your child is poorly constructed resulting in a 10 month old dismantling it, and you as a parent make the decision to return. At Smyths you're not allowed to return it & get your money back. Pathetic policy. All Amazon from now on or a toy store putting parents 1st.10 months old and will never be back at Smyths on principal. R.I.P Smyths.

If there was a minus stars review I would be giving it, I would avoid this store at all cost, i was mis sold a bike by a lady called Sabba who recommended a bike for age 10 to12, after I got home and my daughter tested it, it was evident it was to small, i then googled bike sizes for her age and it stated 24 inches for my daughters age group, when calling the store they refused to give a refund or exchange even though I had only just purchased the bike this has left me 180 pound out of pocket and a very upset little girl, i wasn?t made aware of if my daughter tested the bike it would not be able to be returned, this is usually common practice in most stores, clearly not at smyths longbridge,.please be careful when purchasing anything from this store, I certainly will never be going in that store again, head office was unwilling to help either!!

Extremely disappointed. Brought the babylo easy up walker today and on arrival back home, I opened the box to find it had previously been used. There was food and dirt all over the product and the seat had stained marks over it. Im shocked at how a product could be returned to a store in this condition without a member of staff checking. Or how the company could put a returned item back on the self for resale without checking the product first! Will definitely be opening boxes in Smyths store from now on to check the products before purchasing.

Came in because my pushchair was broken & jolting forwards wirh mh little girl in which was becoming really scary. Danni was absolutely wonderful. She was friendly & kind & she had all the time for us. She was happy to talk to us about the type of pushchairs I liked and worked with our budget too. She went up to the warehouse and then came back wirh 2 options and had found us a cheaper one which was exactly the same and asked if I'd like that one and then set it up for us so I could put my baby straight in it and use it right away. She really was wonderful. Her colleague Serena was really nice too and also helped make sure baby girl was comfortable in the pushchair too. Made an anxious mums time so much easier and will always be grateful!

Staff have no knowledge of how to treat a child rude disrespectful VERY unhelpful managers a complete joke and stock is poor compared to other smyths I seeth every time I have to walk through your doors and can't wait to get the he'll out (longbridge) other stores are quite pleasant. I think Longbridge walked over the road and recruited drunks
