Dirty tables, under staffed it seemed. Long wait times. Paid cheque then no deserts without chasing two servers. Cold pizza served for mains. Never been so disappointed with Pizza Express.

Food is overpriced and portions are small, there are way too many tables and chairs which means you can hardly move to get to the toilet etc and feel very penned in, staff were friendly but clearly struggling as the service wasn't great, not a terrible place, but not somewhere I would want to come back to in a hurry.

I knew it was going to be busy. So expected to wait. That was OK.
Myself and partner ordered starter and a main course.
The main course arrived and was perfect. However, we enquired about the starter. Was advised "it's on the way"
Finished main course and starter still hadn't arrived. 10 minutes after finishing main, the starter arrived. I asked for this to be returned and refunded. Not the best experience.

We had limited time and they were very busy but managed to fit us in. We were alerted to the fact they were so busy and food would take a while by Claire and Josh but we thought we would chance it and see if we could get some food before we had to go.
Unfortunately we couldn't get what we wanted in time due to how busy they were but the whole situation was managed exceptionally well by Claire and Josh (his first week).
We just had some starters and drinks and then had to leave but the experience was only a positive one because of the efforts and attentiveness of Claire and Josh. Had it not been for their efforts it could easily have been 1 star.

Came in for lunch while shopping with a friend. Had not booked but were quickly seated after a warm welcome at the door. Our order was taken within a couple minutes of sitting down and drinks and starters came quickly. Staff were friendly and attentive, one youngish man (assuming to be the manager) helped us through the app to claim our rewards without making us feel rushed or embarrassed about not knowing how to use it before. Food was very nicely presented and clearly freshly made as well as tasty. Our waiter was able to make a couple suggestions about pizza options to my friend who had not dined with pizza express before. Desserts (I had the honeycomb cheesecake, she had the biscoff sundae) were beautifully served and tasted amazing too. Whole experience was all round quick and efficient without being rushed, as well as friendly and memorable. Will be returning next time I am in the resorts world area.
Dietary restrictions: I am quite fussy with my food but our waiter was very happy to accommodate my alterations to the menu items without being made to feel like a nuisance. Genuine friendly and ?happy to help? attitude from staff when it comes to allergies and dietary restrictions.

My first time visiting here & I will definitely be returning! Food was gorgeous & the service was incredible. My server steve, recommended a few of his favourites as I was undecided - im glad I listened. 10/10, can?t wait for my next visit ?

Resorts world Birmingham - had the worst experience here. 3 of us. Cold dough balls, missing starter, then when we talked to waiter, he blamed us for not ordered the missing starter and kitchen was busy remaking our dough balls. Very rude waiter, not customer friendly. Took 45 minutes for starter. Then the pizzas came out while still eating starters. Missing sides from main. Twice we asked to speak to manager, who when came over was a little apologetic and gave us the starters free.
Would never eat here again.
