I was here with some friends to celebrate a early birthday lunch and it was a great place to have a meal and sit and chat. Food was nice. Would go again

Was visiting Birnighnam went to Wetherspoon s for dinner very good dinner was not waiting long to be served even though the pub was full would go back again went to Nando?s the day before very poor food compared to Wetherspoons

This pub may have been refurbished but it's still one of the worst Spoons. Unfortunately it's made worse by the clientele, 2 people smoking weed behind us, staff clearly turning a blind eye. Food was ok, and quite prompt with service, but it's still a very scruffy pub despite the huge amount of money recently spent on its refurbishment. It's definitely one to avoid.

Went on Saturday morning and ordered 2 breakfasts - 1 vegetarian, 1 traditional. They were served on COLD plates, with cold beans. Both meals were overcooked and hard (as if it had been sat under a heat lamp for hours), apart from the bacon which was more fat than meat and looked like it hadn't been cooked at all. This was returned but came back with merely another slice of undercooked bacon added on top of the lump of fat. We ate what we could and left in disgust. There really seemed no point in returning it a second time. The cooks clearly don't care. Shortly afterwards my husband was sick and I spent the afternoon/night with diarrhoea. The best bit was the cup of tea which we made ourselves! Yes it was cheap, but definitely NOT cheerful! Would NOT recommend. Completely ruined the weekend.

Food was good and very good value. Service was extremely disappointing. Went to place 10 orders based on menu. 5 dishes not available, ?what do you want instead?? Staff clearly irritated by delay whilst I checked. One item missing when food arrived. It took 3 requests before this dish appeared by which time everyone had eaten and children wanted to go. Not a good experience.

Ordered 2 all day brunches, food was cold, asked to have it rectified, was told the kitchen was going to do a re-cook?. Same plate came back with a nuked meal on it. Wouldn?t have fed it to my dog. Disgusting.

The staff are rude, and racist. If you are off the wrong colour then they will say you are drunk and you cannot drink any more.

Absolutely terrible pub go there if you want to get beaten up as my son went there with his girlfriend and another couple for a quiet drink and was set upon by 5 blokes inside the pub. Door staff and bar staff stood there and looked on and didn?t help them. Made a complaint to head office and after months of chasing a response they can?t even be bothered to respond !! ?

Avoid this pub. The food is always cold and not worth the money. The staff aren't very friendly and the place is filthy. I wouldn't recommend this place to an enemy.

I went to meet a friend on 26th. He offered to get me a meal. He went and came back with a burger. I eas praying it wont be vold like part of the last hot meal i had a few weeks ago. Id complained about and was told as i had complained b4 they were going to refund my money. The invidual is a very unpleasantale ive complained about b4. I went to the cpunter put in my card and a regund was made. The receipt was illegible. A few minutes later a customer asked if id retirned a meal. I said yes. He said he oberheard a conversatipn where id been cLled a gemale dog and the decision was to tegund if i ever complained again. So last thursday i ate my burger was relaxing with my friend when a female manager appeared and asked if i was served that meL I said no my friend got it Well she said im not supposed to be served because id complained abouut cold food. I told her what happened She seemed shovked thst i was called names She asked who said it and i described the guy. I said it was my breakfast, im diabetic have allergic reactions and dont need cold uncooked bacon. She walked away. Later My friend went to the bar and saud somthing to her. She brushed off with 'Forget it.' Some of the staff in here are very rude and think nothing of talking about customers as if we are hard of hearing. They also feel its ok to call customers rude names. The other thing they do is ignore you at the bar hoping, as one of the staff said, youd get the message that they dont want to serve you. This is unprofessional discriminatory behaviour and should not be encouraged in a city centre business.

Myself and my wife came in on thursday and had the most amazing fish n chips each. the drinks were good to and a very good price. we had a wonderful time until the very end when we were approached by 2 diffrent beggers asking for money and invading our persanal space. my wife conplained to the staff but they did not care. becaues of this you lost your 5 star to a 4 star . sorry.

The pub is big, Very noisy and busy. Could hardly hear what the person next to me said. The food wasn't better than ok. Don't think I will come her again

An unfortunate visit on a Saturday morning on route to watch football. It was surprisingly busy, only tables spare were one?s that had not been cleared?.and weren?t when we left. Use App to order a 6oz burger and ham, egg and chips. Service okay but food terrible. Dry burger, no eggs, slice of processed ham! Asked where the egg was??we have no eggs?! Two staff served us but neither cleared the stuff off the table from the previous occupancy? second very disappointing visit to Spoons?.. we should have never left Europe. Some very good alternatives now? bye bye Spoons?

Wetherspoon is known for some of the best toilets. Not this one. I have pointed the following out to staff but to be greeted with dirty toilets for Breakfast is literally taking the pee. Sanitary bins r overflowing with used towels on the floor. I am often reminded of Sidney poitiers in To Sir with love' when he told off female pupils about di sposal of personal hygiene materials. Unfortunately some women and girls need to be taught these lessons but staff have responsibility to customers and not cleaning toilets in a pub with restaurant is illegal.No toilet paper in some toilets. 2 rolls per toilet doesn't finish so soon. I've seen staff walk in and walk it after signing cleaning sheet without doing anything about the floors or toilet. One sink was dirty for days, Doors wedged open consequently 2 men were in the toilet this week as they didn't see the signs on the wedged door. This is a health and safety issue. We've just been through a pandemic and standards in this wetherspoons have dropped. A few weeks ago I pointed out that the mens toilet doors were open and from where I sat I saw men going in and unzipping But worse coming out zipping up. Enough to put anyone off their food and drink. The toilet smells are carried into the Pub. It doesn't help that the drinks machine Is near the male toilets with wedged doors and the teabags r unwrapped. I was going to put this complaints on the websiite usually found on the receipt but even that is unsatisfactory. The milk jug has no lid. The rubbish shute is half covered and easily missed. ,most staff r friendly but some are downright rude and discriminatory. Qualities education is badly needed. Over the last few weeks and even last night I witnessed mentally ill thrown out. The wetherspoon motto "you are barred' seem to be used a lot. When asked why two women were being thrown asked the male staff in pony tail told me to mind my own business. Previously when he was rude to me he told me to 'look for him myself' when I asked for a manager. They seem to be shortstaffed.

The Square Peg is a typical wetherspoons and does amazingly cheap and good breakfast that starts the day in a easy way along with a beer
