Really helpful staff, great rooms with lovely views of the lake and so easily accessible. Can be expensive but it's worth it every time for me.

It was all going so well, a hip trendy hotel with great decor and a real vibe to it, free cocktail on arrival (don?t get too excited) but then the worse possible situation in a hotel, a 1am fire alarm and then a 5:30am fire alarm, and whilst these things can happen, at check out there was no apology no explanation. It?s not the issue that frustrates me, it?s the way that it?s dealt with. A sour end to what otherwise would have been top marks.Nearby activities: Resort world is a stones throw away, great selection of bars and restaurants make this a great location for a hotelWalkability: Walkable from Birmingham International and the NEC, great location practically at the door of the NEC

Very modern hotel with a relaxed environment. The lounge had a musical instrument theme which was visibly attractive and created a cool atmosphere. The staff were warm, welcoming, friendly and efficient. Room rates were rather expensive but I put that down to the 'Arnold sports festival' being held during my stay.Nearby activities: Short walk to the NEC and many other attractions nearby, including a lake, the Bear Grylls Experience and many restaurants.

This venue is great located. Nearby the train station and the airport. Is this just beside the NEC, there is a shopping mall with restaurants and a movie theater at walking distance and beside a place for kids' activities. If you arrive driving, be aware that the parking lot is very far from the venue (+10 min walking) . Will be a big problem for people with movibility issues.

Walkability: Really close to the NEC if you're going there. About a 5 minute walk around the lake if you're going to The Vox.

Great place, right on the door step of the NEC. Room was great, Bar area was great. Only 2 Issues i had with my stay. We stayed in a Suite with Bed and Pull out Sofa. Underneath the bed is a motion activated courtesy light - a great feature i must add. The issue we faced was even with no motion, the lights would constantly activate illuminating the entire room. This feature cannot be turned off (as confirmed by the reception staff - seems like a common complaint) In the end we stuffed 2 pillows over the sensors and it was great.Secondly, They dont like Non-guests to be paying customers. We had arranged for some friends to come join us for some drinks as they were at a neighbouring hotel and the door security would not allow them to do so.Other than that, would stay here again next year.

Hotel would not honour our corporate booking system rate which has now caused me some hassle.

I stayed here during the MCM Comicon in December. I cannot praise this hotel enough. They have a cozy, small-hotel feel, which I mean in the nicest way possible. Even though the Con likely meant they were fully booked, I never felt ignored. Every single staff member from the Desk, to the Bar, even a member of the maintenance staff I interacted with -- VERY friendly and accomodating.Furthermore, my friend in a wheelchair stayed with me. All of the above applies to how they met the needs of someone requiring special assistance.Rooms: Clean and well maintained. Within an hour of checking in, someone from maintenance knocked at our door. Apparently the cleaning staff had reported that the curtain had come off the hinge. Promptly, he was there to repair it.We stayed in the room designed for someone who uses a wheelchair, and all needs were met.Nearby activities: The NEC is just accross the street. Conventions, convinient stores, food and drink. I know there was plenty to do in the area, even though I was there just for the Convention.Walkability: I flew into the Airport, and from there, made it to the Hotel on foot. The Trainstation makes use of a monorail making it about a 10-15 minute walk from the Gate to the front door.Food & drinks: The Bar and Restraurant have both tasty cocktails and food respectively. I would LOVE to see a Room Rervice feature. But it did not hamper our dining experience. In fact, while I ordered at the Bar, a member of staff helped carry my food up to my room.
