Great location and very friendly staff. Huge spacious rooms. However the sink was blocked and the shower was weird half of the door was missing water was going everywhere. As well I had the worst breakfast experience I ever. Twice I came around 9am every single table was dirty. No cultlery. No mugs. Nowhere to sit. No staff. Waited for maybe 10 minutes and moved everything to the side and sat at a dirty table. Staff seen putting clean cutlery on wet tables. I don?t wanna consume chemicals. Then my cheese plate was put away while I was making myself a cup of tea. For the next half an hour or so, staff very slowly cleaned maybe 2-3 tables out of how many. Stone cold eggs and sausages. Absolutely terrible.

Great hotel with friendly, welcoming staff. Conveniently located and rooms are very comfortable.Rooms: The rooms are spacious with great facilitiesNearby activities: The ICC is very nearby, the shopping area is an easy walk or the tram stops almost outside the hotel. The canal area is great for eateries. Thank you to each and every one of the team for being happy and smiley, great customer service.Walkability: It is really easy to walk around the area.

Great hotel for staying in Birmingham city centre. My second stay at this hotel in the last 3 months. Really helpful staff. Twin room with two double beds was excellent, lots of space with a powerful shower and a pillow menu.

this is literally where I had to sleep so to hear less noise possible: in the bathroom on a bed made with pillows and towels. The sound insulation is absolutely terrible. I am writing this review in this sleepless night , while I?m staying at this hotel. I cannot sleep due to the awful noise coming from the club across the street. I have sleep plugs and they are not helping . They can?t provide a different room or a solution, absolutely great considering that tomorrow I have to be to a work convention. I?ll never Come again to this hotel, and I would strongly suggest to anyone who needs a good night get of sleep before an important day of work not coming here.this is literally where I had to sleep so to hear less noise possible: in the bathroom on a bed made with pillows and towels.

Room was lovely, clean and well presented. However dinner was a bit of a nightmare - not particularly coeliac friendly. And despite having an allergen menu, when ordering I was then told things that were gluten free on the menu were not actually gluten free. In addition to this, despite fries being advertised as gluten free, when I asked if they used the same fryer as gluten containing foods, they said yes. This is a huge no no for anyone coeliac! I?m just pleased I asked, as it would?ve resulted in me being very poorly.Noteworthy details: Great central location and a few mins from the ICC as well as close to train station

A superior quality hotel in a great location. Beds were very comfortable. Great tv. My only criticisms are:The old fashioned car park has a height restriction of 1.7m, so be careful. The glass screen on our walk in shower was too short, so water escapes on to the bathroom floor. The bathroom door had suffered water damage as a result of this and does not conform to the hotel?s image.Shampoo and shower gel dispensers were empty and had not been refilled. This is a basic requirement.

Fantastic location 5 mins taxi from Birmingham New street station .Let's start by saying I booked a midweek executive room arriving at the hotel around 5pm . The entrance is lovely and the reception area clearly marked. As I checked in all I got from the member of staff at reception is "Here is the key card you have and executive room all done" No explanation of hotel facilities , I had to ask where the breakfast would be served rather than be informed initially . The executive room was ok . The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom had a great shower . The bathroom robe was not hung up and looked like it had been refused multiple times and looked very tired and simply stuffed on a shelf in the wardrobe. This really is unacceptable and I definately did not use the robe. Breakfast times I googled as noone had informed me. The breakfast however was lovely with a large buffet section and an omelette station where omelettes were made to order. And cheeses and fruit also available . The check out was fast, and they did ask me how my stay was . Overall would I stay here again I'm not sure .

We stayed at the hotel whilst attending a concert. Location to the Utilita is superb, can't fault it on that scoreMy concern was that we were checked into room 1001 on the 10th floor. Room was very comfortable, nice bed, very clean on first impression absolutely no problem.... until it came to trying to sleep! The room is right next door to the lift shaft although at first not realized as you come out of the lift left through the double doors, left again and room in the corner. The lift shaft is vast as it service 4 lifts.... every time the lift was used which was constant through the night it sounded like a train coming through the bathroom wall... not the most pleasant experience.I feel the hotel should have advised us of this when we checked it to establish if it was ok. I mentioned it when checking out and the receptionist just smiled and said sorry, clearly this has been mentioned before. My second issue was with the breakfast/restaurant, all products on the cooked section were on the cold side, bacon and sausages overcooked and very hard almost burnt. Omelette from the egg station was delicious though. The fancy hot water tap has no user instructions by it and when I asked a member of staff how to work it she laughed at me as if I should have known... how could I have known it was a tap twice to get hot water for my tea??The chairs in the restaurant also look like they have ben attacked by an ally cat and the fabric on the blue chairs is all torn and shredded.I feel these issues should be addressed.

Stayed here recently when attending an Aston Villa match. This hotel is perfect for a stay in Birmingham. Nice rooms, nice food and good location. Like the coffee machine and biscuits in the room and the bottles of water are a nice touch aswell.Rooms: Comfortable beds and powerful walk in shower.
