I'm 62 and have to use assisted boarding due to health issues. Having an early flight from Birmingham I decided to use the Wetherspoons for breakfast. Towards the end of my breakfast I finished my coffee so went to the machines for a refill, then turned round to see my table being cleared and the remains of my breakfast taken away (unfortunately I'm no longer quick enough to get back to my table in time). I complained and did get a token small breakfast, but not the toast which I had looked to have with my coffee.
The problem lies with being a solo traveller- to get a coffee refill you have to leave your table. You are told not to leave bags unattended but had left my walking stick at the table as a sign I hadn't left (I would also argue that the absence of a mug on the table was an indicator). I do think there should be something to identify you are travelling alone (something like the old table number signs) to avoid instances like this, especially when you have to leave your table to get a coffee- the breakfasts aren't cheap and you don't really want part of it taken away, It really wasn't a good experience, especially when the guy who took the first breakfast was told to serve the replacement (which wasn't exactly service with a smile.
I would no longer use them when travelling alone.

Go to the bar to order. Go over there to get the sauces. That was the worst buttermilk chicken burger I have ever eaten. This type of service is just not good enough.

Very busy

Is it just me or is Wetherspoon's becoming depessing? It seems to be scraping by without quite being objectionable but with no positive qualities and certainly no joy. Has Tim lost it? I suspect so.

This Weatherspoons is located in the departure lounge of Birmingham International airport. The service is always very quick (so don't be put off if it's busy imo) an ideal place for food and drink before flying out.

The food was ok although the breakfast bacon was a bit dry and the baked beans were not the best

Busy, expensive and not the fastest service. There are much better wetherspoons out there. £12 for a full English, £14 if you add black pudding. Over £6 a pint and slow service. The place was rammed and the tables are wedged together. I had people constantly knocking into me whilst try to eat as there is virtually no space to walk. Wish I had of gone to Peaky Blinders as there was loads more space and the food looked great.

Food was good and quick. Very friendly staff. Menu holders weren't great kept following.
Tim sort it out.
Not bad for a weatherspoons chain.
Dietary restrictions: Gluten free

The spoons is great. A little cramped but that is to be expected in a busy airport pub.
