My husband and i went to the Black Horse in Northfield,and was really poorly with Food Poisoning.My 81 yr old husband was admitted to hospital with severe pain in his stomach,vomiting and diarrhoea,high temperature,struggling for breath,black coming from his nose,mouth,and rear end,unable to walk.I was taken poorly at the hospital with severe stomach pains,sickness and diarrhoea,felt really ill

Great pub, but tend to serve at other end of bar all the time. Plenty of staff, not interested in the smaller bar ?

I visited on Christmas day so can't comment on the food.
What I can say,is that the staff battled on despite the unforgiving tide of punters.Big it up for the guys and gals.
I'm not sure if opening on a Bank holiday is the norm for Wetherspoons,but let me tell you as a single guy,can't thank you enough.Fantasic day with some people I knew others I didn't,but at least for awhile I was amongst others.Thanks to all involved,you made a long day much easier.Thank you Wetherspoons.

Used to be very homily with real open fires in every room...visited recently with a group of friends and there was no fires at all...l enquired and was told by a staff member that the new manager doesn't like them
..what a shame that one person's view isn't shared by anyone else..

Fantastic pub, attended a wake upstairs, the only thing is my mom is unsteady on her legs and found it difficult getting upstairs.

Lovely and friendly staff.
Very helpful managers who helped me with a parking ticket issue.
Parking: The praying notices and sign in machines need to be better placed to avoid unnecessary issue of unfair tickets.

Small breakfast is the ideal because you can add any you want. You can customize and add your choice. The servers are polite. My son love this pub. We love this pub.
Kid-friendliness: They have menus catered for children. A good size and amount of food for my son.

We are having our breakfast now. The Small Breakfast is just right and ideal portion for me. You can do adds on too if you like extra bacon or egg etc. They have got yummy food especially their bacon today that tasted like barbeque. Right now at 8:57AM there is not much people yet so it is calm and clean ambience. I also LOVE their CRISPY fish and chips. Sometimes although I ordered small they will give me a big crispy battered fish. My family and I always eat here and will be doing so. I highly recommend this pub. My son and husband too loves this place. :-)
