Room size was ok, we had accessible room with wet room, not to our liking, most things too low. Wardrobe space could be better. All staff were lovely and good choice of food and value were good.

They took my money but refused, despite being asked, to issue a receipt when I booked my non-refundable room. I had to ask for a printed invoice yesterday to claim my expenses back. The room was cold, the bed uncomfortably hard, the shower rail fell off and I didn?t appreciate being left two part-rolls of toilet paper, there?s was very little there and it looked scruffy. Popped to the shops across the road and bought my own. Finally the breakfast was, at best, poor and other than the gent who checked me in, the service downstairs was mediocre. The deficiencies of this place were made more evident by reports from my work colleagues who stayed at another location nearby. Their experience at the hotel they booked was fantastic and they were shocked to hear of my stay at the Innkeepers location. The details have been passed around to advise our staff to choose more carefully than I did when staying in Birmingham.

The room was large, clean and the hotel was convenient and easily accessible. There was enough in the room such as tea making, large towels and Freeview TV. I ate in the restaurant and had a carvery which had no kick to it like peppered gravy so, to me, it was quite bland. You've obviously renovated the rooms and they look good. What the manager should do as part of he finality of it is to stay in one, or all of the rooms.Room 310 backs onto the air conditioning units which are still quite noisy. The carpet in the upstairs room must've been cheap or basically thin walled with ok little underlay because there was someone above me on the first night who walked up and down on 5 occasions during the night which woke me up after hearing every step.I was looking forward to a shower after work and how difficult was that with half a shower door and a broken rail that was fighting to drench the floor in the bathroom, what a nightmare. All I can say is what a shame that customers have to put up with what managers can't see (or hear).

Excellent hotel to spend the night. It's cozy. It's familiar and the best thing is you have Toby to eat with. Really worth it.

Have stayed previous to this visit and was happy on that occasion. This visit, there was an issue at check in, where I was asked to pay for my room. The room had already been paid for on booking and I had to show the duty staff my online banking transactions before they would believe me.Was given a disabled room (we did not need this facility, maybe the accommodation was busy, but we never saw another resident), which wasn't ideal owing to the seat in the shower and extremely small sink. Also had a bang in our door in the early hours waking us up to tell us that our door was quite shut properly. Thanks....

Your friendly cheerful team on hand. Great value for money. The pillows are appalling and need replacing. Only half a toilet roll left in the room which was insufficient. Tissue box empty which we could live with. These are the basics which should be addressed.Walkability: Very accessible on all levelsFood & drinks: Amazing value for money

Bed and pillows were very firm but apart from that it was a lovely room, all the necessities you need. Best thing was your evening meal was just through the next door.

Convenient location, ample parking. Was expecting it to be noisier from the pub but was ok. Unfortunately very noisy neighbour who considerately left his TV on loud all night and phoned all his friends until 3am but the hotel can't be blamed for that! Comfy bed, nice bathroom, delicious breakfast!

Stayed for two nights, room was clean and comfortable. Very friendly staff, welcoming and very helpful. Excellent service, it was nice having housekeeping done during my stay, and everything replaced that had been used from towels to tea and coffee, and my bed turned down. Parking was easy and stress free and there was plenty of room. The only thing I would like to see is more choice in the cereal and more of a lighter choice for breakfast. I will be staying again.

Food was good...quality as well as taste. We had a waitress for several of our dinners, I believe her name was Grace...she was very impressive. Remembered our order from the previous night, courteous and friendly. John at the bar was also very helpful. I was not certain of the procedure for checking in or getting breakfast but the staff walked me through everything. Room was small but comfortable. Location was not bad either. 4 miles to trains and bus station. There was a bus stop directly in front of the hotel and other food was available nearby but I did not try any of those places as the restaurant and pub were very good and not very expensive. £30.00 for 2 people, food and wine...very reasonable I thought. Overall, a very pleasant stay and u would be happy to return sometimeRooms: Clean, quiet and peacefulWalkability: Maybe because I walk so much normally...but I found most things were not far away.Food & drinks: Food was nothing fancy but it was tasty and meat was very tender

When I first arrived, the staff were polite and helpful.Once checked in and given the room keys I walked into the room and there was an absolute foul smell. It smelt as if the toilet was either just recently used or blocked.Went back down to tell the staff, they came up to the room and agreed with me but unfortunately the rooms were fully booked and no other room was available at the time.He had opened the windows and sprayed air freshener into the room whilst I went down for a meal at the Toby Carvery downstairs.I ordered a Salmon & Prawn Wellington, and to be honest the pastry was overcooked and the crust was breaking away whilst the filling was dry.The Yorkshire pudding rock solid, again overcooked with no flavor. The only thing I managed to stomach which was reasonably eatable was the roast potatoes and the chocolate fudge cake dessert.I managed to go back to my room and sleep, now the foul smell was still lingering in the background but not as bad as I originally walked in during check-in.Next morning, I went down to have breakfast, again staff were very friendly and helpful during my stay, however the food was not tasty.Again Hash browns were overcooked, and the beans were too runny, so just stuck with bread and butter. The stay was reasonable, however to room could be improved by better/more lighting in the room and the odor of the rooms prior to anyone checking in could also be improved. The main issue I had was the food, and I think this should be given more attention.Staff were very friendly and helpful during my stay - nothing to change here. Many thanks

My family and I were pleasantly surprised with the layout of the building, the ease of parking, location (shops & facilities), night time arrangements for gaining entry and exiting the building. The friendliness of the staff and visitors were great. The nights staff were friendly and professional and made sure we knew how to get ahold of them if needed.Unfortunately the phone to get a hold of them which was situated outside of our room wasn't working and the toilet broke in the middle of the night. Due to the friendliness of the entire team we ended up fixing it ourselves and it was a screw loose preventing it from flushing but we fixed it. I think in the website you need to show a smaller room as I was looking forward to a bigger room, the rest of my party said they were happy and didn't mindNearby activities: Surrounding are lots and lots of fast food shops you can order but alot of them don't have places to sit KFC, pizza hut, dominoes, Chinese, Indian and there are other places to stay. Roughly 10/15mins drive there is a TGIFriday, a park, skaters Park and much more depending on what your looking for or your interests.
