Very rude and unhelpful staff. There appeared to be an issue with the app. It appeared that they wanted to blame you and charge you extra. There was no apology for the inconvenience just extreme rudeness. You need to look at how your staff communicate and treat customers especially when it is in a hospital. I work as a manager in retail and the service was one of the worst I have ever encountered

This review is mainly applied to the service on Sunday 05-Oct. Just to be clear, it is to the kiosk by the information desk rather than the one in the canteen.
As a hospitality in the hospital, we don't expect much of ?cusomer service?. However, based on the "not-too-high" expectations, the lady's attitude is intolerantly pathetic.
I don't know how much effort Costa would like to put on employee quality, but it is highly suggested to hire someone nicer for your business brand image, pleased.

When I pay almost £5 for a flat white I expect top quality coffee. What I got was a bucket of a hot brown liquid whose coffee taste was obliterated by far too much scalding hot milk. Obviously not a hint of microfoam produced by the poorly trained children who produced this sad excuse for a flat white (yes it took 2 and they still failed to clean the grind basket before drawing a new shot - my pet hate). Given there were a total of 6 staff on duty the coffee prep area was in a poor state of cleanliness.

I?ve been going to this Costa for over a year. The service is impeccable, the staff (Chris and Destiny) always remember my order and make it slightly different to other stores! The entire team present themselves as energetic and welcoming whenever I go there, 9am or 6pm, same energy throughout the day even during busy periods!

Staff rude, coffee luke warm, smallest Rocky Road i've ever had, asked for a plate & a china cup/mug - Rudely answered NO ! , i'd just spent £18 - asked for a fraperchino NO -it's to late we had to move from the table @ 5:35 as they were closing not meant to close until 6:00 way overpriced & rude staff won't use again will bring my own

Worst service of all time. Took 15 minutes for us to get served and the line was barely moving. The staff seemed to be doing nothing behind the counter whilst there were 15 people waiting in the queue. Terrible customer service and lazy staff.

Im sorry that your eyes couldnt scan the discount on my phone whilst showing you the barcode just for some courtesy. It's appalling!! It's filthy most of the time. Tables rarely cleaned. Always have to ask for table cleaning. Was even told that cleaning tables was the responsibility of customers! Yes! I was actually told that! Rubbish, food debris everywhere, cigarette smoke wafting in, bins overflowing. Paint falling off door frames. Scruffy incompetent staff. Huge queues the result. Uncomfortable & inadequate seating. Expensive - a world away their Ludlow branch (& the lovely staff there) & ALL this in a premier UK HOSPITAL!!!!! Unbelievable!!! Truly unbelievable! Mr. Costa should pay a surprise visit!

Awful service although a few tables still open to sit on, was asked to leave halfway through meal as they were closing area to clean. Surely existing customers already seated, should be allowed to finish their drinks and food. Staff rude. Staff behind counter pleasant but felt it was unacceptable to ask people to move midway, because they wanted to clean. I will not be going back.
