“I recently visited The Old Print Works in Birmingham to collect a bicycle from The Bike Project, and I was thoroughly impressed by the experience. The staff were exceptionally helpful, guiding me through the process with genuine care and professionalism. The Old Print Works itself is a vibrant community hub, housing various creative initiatives, including The Bike Project, which refurbishes secondhand bikes and donates them to refugees and asylum seekers in London and Birmingham. The dedication of both The Bike Project and The Old Print Works to supporting the community is truly commendable. I highly recommend visiting this unique space, whether you're in need of a bicycle or interested in exploring the array of creative projects they host.”

“After spending Friday volunteering on-site, I can wholeheartedly say that this is truly a passion project! The dedication and enthusiasm of the staff and community are evident, extending far beyond personal interest. Their genuine commitment to creating a welcoming space for everyone is truly inspiring. A big thank you for accommodating us, and well done on all your efforts—from all of us at HSBC.”

“We visited the Acorn charity shop in tewekesbury to purchase some pots, and we were so impressed with the friendly and professional staff. Not only did we get our pots at a discounted price, but when we mentioned needing furniture for a staff member’s new unfurnished flat, Rachael went above and beyond to help. She provided everything we needed from their clearance storage, completely free of charge, to support us. We are incredibly grateful to Acorn charity and their amazing team. The manager is equally professional and always willing to help. We will continue to support our local Acorn and encourage others to do the same. Thank you for all that you do!”

“Lots of great quality items in this charity shop! It's on the smaller side but well laid out so it's easy to find everything, including clothes, books, DVDs/CDs, toys and games, and bric-a-brac. Always pop in for a quick browse whenever I'm in Northfield.”

“I give endlessly to this lovely shop and buy too. I have never been greeted by anything less than a warm smile and attitude of whoever is volunteering there at the time.I just don’t get the poor rating. These people are volunteers, so please don’t pure them down after 1 bad encounter. Be Kind!”

“This is a lovely designed shop which always has a lovely window displays which makes you want to enter. The price bracket is very good as they consider their demographic. The shop has hand sanitiser's at the front of the shop and is always clean and volunteers are friendly as well paid staff. This charity not only makes a difference to children's lives it's also an integral part of the community. Please keep up the good work. The clothes are well displayed and their pricing bracket is excellent, quality clothing, shoes and accessories etc.”

“One of the best charity shops I have ever come across. Items are priced reasonable and mostly brilliant designer bargains to get hold of. Trainers and hats good too, unworn condition a few. Selection of items are one of the best I have seen. Little wear and tear. Staff are polite helpful and professional. Could not fault at all - 10 out of 10.”

“Yet another successful visit to this. Wonderful shop. Beautifully set out downstairs and a delightful cafe upstairs along with books and jigsaws. Met with a group of friends for coffee , we received excellent service from the staff here and the cafe was a hive activity and chatter by mid morning. Coffeee and cakes excellent and bagged a bargain on the way out. Booked our next excursion for next week.”

“Donated four bags of clothes and shoes today. Very friendly volunteer, added gift aid and the shop seemed well organised and fresh with some window displays of vintage outfits. I didn't notice the pricing but the shop will have to cover overheads on a town centre location. Plenty of sales on at other shops if you don't want your money to go to a charitable cause!”

“Didn't appreciate a long lecture on women having tattoo's by one volunteer, and another volunteer shouting about how she finds all the best stuff for herself when sorting donations. Only blights on a nice shop.”

“Many people have bemoaned the fact that Kings Heath High Street has seen an influx of charity shops over the past few years, claiming it has lowered the tone of a once bustling shopping area. I would say that those people have not taken the time to peruse the wares at wonderful establishments such as the British Heart Foundation. Firstly, buying from a charity shop is a good deed, it helps to fund work which will aid the ill and assist in research to prevent further illness. Secondly the British Heart Foundation has some real gems to be found in store. I have often found classic books and DVD's in store which I had long given up hope of locating. Add to this the fact that the volunteers are amongst the friendliest staff you are ever likely to meet and you have a shopping experience which no chain store can even hope to rival.”
