I am beyond disappointed?and honestly baffled?by the complete lack of competence displayed by your staff. It is astonishing that a store selling high-end laptops cannot even identify the GPU in a Dell 5560. Perhaps this is why it isn?t listed on your website: not because of secrecy, but because your staff wouldn?t know how to check it anyway.(a simple google search can answer that).
When I first visited, I asked about the GPU, as this model comes in two variants: T1200 and A2000. The staff member?s solution? ?No one can check today, come back tomorrow.? Efficient customer service at its finest.
The next day, the supposed ?expert? declared that this laptop doesn?t even have a GPU. After I politely pointed out the official Dell website stating it has an A2000, he eventually admitted, ?Oh yes, it does have the A2000.? Incredible?so now I know your store doubles as a tech-training facility for customers.
The absurdity continued. I asked to test the laptop, only to find it had shut down with 40% battery remaining. When I requested a charger, they did not have one capable of powering it; the laptop displayed a low-voltage error. When I asked why it turned off at 40%, the staff member casually said, ?I don?t know, might be a problem. I?ll check tomorrow.? Fascinating?so faulty display units and clueless staff are apparently your standard operating procedure.
This raises serious concerns about how products are tested before being put on display. With staff this uninformed and unprepared, it is not a stretch to assume that customers could easily purchase defective laptops. I expected professionalism; instead, I experienced incompetence that borders on negligence. I highly doubt on your product grading as i attached the snapshot it says Grade B which actually don?t deserve to be on sale at all.
Honestly,I feel I should be compensated for essentially training your staff on the basics of technology.

Don't do there job properly, trys to tell you your wrong even when you show proof your right about the items you have taken in! I tried to sell a pc monitor they said it didn't show picture but I come home plug it in and guess I got picture so now you tell my why your staff have decided to waste my time

If you're selling a device to this store please take photos of the screen and condition while you're in the store before they test it and check your change. A few weeks ago i sold an apple watch for £96 but received £94. On the 28/08/25 i took my iPhone 14 pro max in for vouchers, the girl behind the desk checked it over and graded it B. Was told to come back in an hour and i returned 2 hours later, thought i was strange everyone started doing other things as i got there and the new staff member was left to deal with me, she said my phone failed as there's a dot in the middle of my screen! I was dumbfounded as i can guarantee there was no dot when i handed it over, the screen had a scratch that i would notice and this dot was next to that, i would have definitely noticed and thought was is it as this was the first time i saw it, i would have accepted it's my fault and ok. It was not my fault and i was fuming! The girl said she didn't notice the dot but Didn't look properly which is lies as how did she grade it B without looking properly and she would have noticed it as it was easily seen. The manager had just gone on a break as i got there so waited for her to check the cctv and as i waited many people came in complaining. The manager checked and said the man who tested my phone carefully checked it and they'd give me grade C. Lost £60 through no fault of my own and if i had walked away I'd have lost £360 so please make sure you video the condition as you're in the store and check your change while in the store. never again!

Really disappointment with the service I received from CEX staff. I was given specific information regarding the return policy. However, I was told by the same employee that the initial information was incorrect and that he never said that. I believe it's essential for your staff to be consistent and accurate with the information they provide to customers. I would appreciate it if you could look into this matter and let me know how you plan to address the situation ?

Visited this store on the off chance to inspect some items. The staff were friendly and helpful.I did find their B grade to be a bit more scuffed than other stores but I guess that?s due to the locals trading the items in.

Horrendous. Procedures and tests are apparently carried out on items that are traded in. This is not true. As I was sold a game, and when I put it in the console it couldn?t read the disk. I took it out to find a cut in the disc and it was also bubbled slightly. Must have been a Friday afternoon trade in.
