Standard Aldi shop with plenty of products at low prices. This shop in particular is fairly dated however.

First time shopper in this store over at Kingstanding.
I took my mom shopping today, my mom shops at Aldi quite a lot but over in Castle Bromwich. We decided to use this store my mom is 70 years of age, she filled the trolley as usual and spends around £70 a time.
So we unloaded the goods to pay and then brought our own bags which were in the trolley ready.
As we approached the till the lady behind the counter lifted the bags in the trolley and straight away I knew what she was doing with a lot of food to pay for, myself and my mom would never hide any items in the trolley, I straight said I wasn't happy and said why we would buy so much food and spend so much for us to hide items without paying for them?
The woman insisted it was the stores policy, I insisted I'd never shop there again and yes I did give my opinion and yes it is wrong what she did.
We don't want to go shopping and be treated like criminals and yes we did feel like criminals, it's absolutely shocking to stand there and have our bags/trolley checked when my mom is spending her well earned money in your store.
Sort out your policy, we won't be returning to this store it never happens in the Castle Bromwich store.

I love this ALDI supermarket, the lovely friendly staff far outnumber the grumpy staff, the shelves are always fully stocked, the produce is first class, the prices are great and it's bright and clean.
