One of the most amazing restaurants for food and service. It?s a must when visiting Birmingham, everything felt personal, the little surprises around the lunch menu were exceptional. Amazing.

Best restaurant I've ever been too. It was my first Michelin star restaurant and i was not once disappointed I can't remember everything but it wss perfectly cooked the staff were really nice and was just a nice environment to be in

Tuesday night fine dining. The atmosphere is light and still enough space between tables for the conversation to be intimate.
The food was divine. Many small tasting courses with the accompanying wine flight, my favourites included a parmesan cannelloni, a beef gravy ball and an amazing mushroom and bacon sauce over a scallop.
I felt a little pressured from both waiting staff and the somellier to move quickly between courses, however, after expressing my concerns the staff could not have been more accommodating and apologetic.
Great night.
Kid-friendliness: This is not a venue for children.

i've not been here, saw them on bake off, i'm just loving reading the bad reviews, seeing people who have so much money they can afford to spend a grand on one meal being so disappointed is very cathartic. schadenfreude. :) definitely appreciate the restaurant's grift. so yeah if you got more money than sense would definitely recommend you go here and then tell me about it x

Our first experience with a Michelin star restaurant and we absolutely loved it! The tasting menu was full of things we would normally try but they were amazing. Presentation was top notch and the staff was lovely. Enjoyed our evening so much and definitely would recommend

I very rarely write reviews. I also view them with caution as generally people use them as a way to vent rather than praise.
However I did feel I needed to write on this occasion. The food was generally on par with what to expect from a Michelin star restaurant.
Unfortunately though the atmosphere and service we found was very impersonal. On more than one occasion we had to ask for a drink as we sat there with empty glasses. Towards the end of the service we almost felt a little forgotten. Tucked in the back enclave we felt a little out of the loop despite the restaurant not being particularly busy.
These may seem trivial issues but when you receive a bill of £470.00 it recentres you to think that this should have been a experience that stayed with us for a while. We generally do this kind of evening on special occasions and have visited all the similar restaurants in the area and have generally been "Wowed" by the service and food.
On this occasion however this was not our experience and we wouldn't return.

It?s been quite some time since I have been to a restaurant where it was faultless. This was it. Service and food excellent. Plenty of choice too.
There are a few things I don?t eat and I had notified the restaurant when booking. They produced a menu for personally for me taking this in to account.

Second time here and the menu and experience delivered again. Our table of 3 included a pescatarian and a Vegan and they tailored the food and wine pairing perfectly.
