Visited today 12th July. Store was so hot, stuff was basic and already had Autumn stuff put out ! Steady on there, its still full summer ! Next month.they will have xmas stuff out !

Some lovely items but trying to shop in there in the summer when they have no air conditioning or fans is horrendous. I don?t know how the staff cope. We went today in the middle of a heat wave and had to leave as it was just too hot a stifling to shop comfortably.

How can a multi million pound company not afford air conditioning.
35° outside and hot and muggy inside! I feel sorry for the staff also.
Company should be ashamed of themselves.

Was looking forward to a school uniform shopping trip with my children but we were unable to spend even 5 minutes in the store. It is painful hot and within a few minutes we were overheating. While walking around we saw people glistening with sweat. I feel so sorry for the staff. We could only last minutes so I can't imagine how unbearable and unsafe of an environment it is to work in. Store manager and head office needs to do much much better to make sure safe working conditions are met for customers and staff. I saw no fans and there was no air conditioning. Very disappointing and concerning visit!

the store was neat and the people on shop floor were working very hard but the woman on the till was VILE shes very unpleasant and wasnt happy when i brought an item to the till that didnt have a code and said that she couldnt be bothered to move to help us??? also gave her my matalan card and she just complained about me having a physical card and when she handed it back she practically threw it at me. not impressed and will be going to other branches from now on due to her horrific behaviour.

Huge place, lots of choice but if you're paying cash you always have to wait as there's never enough serving. I was in a long queue to pay today, 1 person on till. No one in self checkout so 1 staff member just standing there watching us queue...why couldn't they jump on till to help?

Visited to pick up a click-and-collect order, straightforward no issues, out in a couple of minutes. Visited around 4pm and the store was quite quiet. Plenty of parking spaces.

Lovely huge store and lovely staff. A wide range of clothing and homeware at excellent prices. My only moan are the learner drivers, whose instructors use the car park as a driver training course. I couldn't park, driving into the store due to one in front of me and I couldn't get out when I left the store, for the same reason. I know people have to learn to drive, but in Matalan car park?????
