We booked for a large party of 29 people. It was hard to find a venue that would take a large booking, but the Saracens Head were very happy to accommodate us and had regular communication by email about our requirements beforehand.
The staff were so welcoming and so helpful on the evening. They allowed us to set up decorations and a cake prior to our guests arriving. They gave us a whole section of the pub, so we could all sit together.
We had placed a pre-order and they got everything correct, the food was delicious and brought out on time.
We had such a wonderful time and I would definitely recommend them for a large party bookings, along with smaller bookings too.
It is a beautiful venue and we have always enjoyed our meals there. Thanks again to all the lovely staff for making our celebration so special.

Always a warm friendly welcome. Great choice of food. And lunchtime special menu of 2 or 3 courses at great prices.
Great that it?s dog friendly. With bowls of water and treats. Lots of space to seat and eat comfortably without sitting on top of others.
Recommend Saracens Head as it?s a great country pub with great wholesome food.

The arrangements for our lunch including pre-ordering for were organised expertly by Chloe and, on the day, were spot on.
The meal were universally praised by the 11 in our party. The wine was very good too.
The efficiency of the service was outstanding and a special word for Sandie who was simply outstanding in looking after 11 boisterous ageing tennis players! A memorable afternoon. Thanks to all the team at Ye Olde....

The staff were good but the Sunday roast leaves a lot to be desired. It came out after about 2 minutes so obviously nothing freshly cooked. Hard, overdone Yorkshire pudding that was obviously cooked a lot earlier, turkey slices that were clearly not fresh but were just reheated bought in slices that were completely tasteless. A few soggy, very sorry looking greens. The only item that could be classed as good were the roast potatoes.

The wait staff were polite, courteous and knowledgeable about the menu, happy to change the topping on my goats cheese pizza, the Watermelon and feta salad my wife had was absolutely beautiful!! Thanks Chef for 2 beautiful meals and cracking staff!!

Staff were friendly, good eye contact and lots of smiles, making us feel welcome. Service was perfect, all the right timings. The temperature of the restaurant was ideal.
Food was very good! Hallelujah, you serve vegetables! So tired of restaurants not having any veg for those who wish to enjoy healthy options.
Will be back for Quiz night! :) Looks like a lot of fun.
