Best Indian in the local area by a long shot. Great staff always friendly and welcoming and the food is great. I've eaten here many times and never had a bad experience. I highly recommend the Roasted Red Chilli Karahi.

6 adults and 3 kids catered for amazingly Friday evening.
Service was excellent, absolutely brilliant food. Best meal I've had out in years. 5star, will visit again soon.

The decor is nice.

The food was very tasty!
I came on a Monday evening and selected 2 courses.
After ordering I noticed that you could order a starter, mains, rice or naan, followed by coffee/tea for £14.50.
It looks like the offer is drawing in the diners as the front and rear parking spaces were full by the time I left.
I was also impressed that the bill showed that my order had qualified for the Monday deal and was charged accordingly, without asking.
Tasty food, will be back!

On a busy weekday we managed to get a table for 2 without booking. Was seated within 5 mins after waiting on their comfy sofas. The staff were extremely welcoming, friendly and couldn?t do enough for you. On the Tuesday we opted for the amazing £14.90 meal deal with starter, main, rice or naan with tea or coffee at the end. I?ve been to many Indian restaurants and this was some of the freshly cooked authentic meals I?ve eaten out. We travelled up from London for a convention and was pleasantly surprised to stumbled upon such great food. They finished off our great service with a free shot for both of us too? without any ask of tip. Amazing atmosphere, service, decor and food. Would 100% come back.

We arrived yesterday evening for dinner for my birthday.
We were made very welcome by a member of the team. Who took our order for food and drinks.
The food was delicious and the atmosphere was very pleasant. Nothing was rushed and we enjoyed ourselves.

I don?t give 5 stars lightly but Cafe Tamarind deserves it. Atmosphere, service, staff attentiveness, food, all first rate. We haven?t visited for many years but we?ll be back there soon!
