Not local to the area, we had asked for recommendations for dining and The Fox lived delightfully up to them. You can feel the love from the community which flows in to the pub. Beautifully decorated with a charming modern food menu. Do excuse the bite out of the cheesecake/lemon meringue photo - it was that delicious, we couldn?t wait! Belinda and Adrian deserve all the success here, with the merge of Belinda?s homely hospitality and Adrian?s flair for elevated pub cuisine - you?re lucky if this is your local. Keep supporting it!

Sunday dinner was ok, generous with the beef. The Yorkshire puddings were brought in, and packet gravy. There were also loads and loads of flies.

Great food. Service is great. Staff are super friendly. The place itself is lovely. Parking can be a bit tight but it is what it is. Beers are crisp and nice.

Stayed the night in our campervan Free of charge and had a fabulous meal cooked by Adrian. Lovely friendly staff owned by the village and run by the villagers. Pre book a must and will be using again

Me and mum just had Sunday lunch, first time eating here. The welcome from the community was lovely, pub itself very welcoming and cosy, both had lamb which melted in the mouth and the cauliflower cheese was best I have ever had, thank you to chef Adrian and everyone who helps run this little gem, we will most certainly be back xx

Lovely pub near the local camp site. The owner was very friendly and got us in at short notice! The food is very good, would recommend coming here if you're in the area.

I'd been here only once since moving away from Loxley in 1964. The pub had fallen on hard times, to be redeemed by a community buy-out a few years ago. On our Saturday night visit we were the only diners although a few locals were rehydrating at the bar. We were made welcome. We'd suffered an overpriced, under-par lunch in Ufton, had been warned off eating at Walton Hall and were very grateful for the Fox's offering of good simple food well cooked. The Hooky ale was well-kept, the table service tremendous. I often feel rooked and badly-used when I come home to this area, but the Fox was a shining exception last weekend. Thanks.
