To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with my recent experience at The Stag's Head. My visit was marred by both exorbitant pricing and, more disturbingly, blatant discriminatory behavior on the part of the management.
Firstly, the pricing is simply outrageous. To charge £5.50 for a small can of Red Bull is not only unreasonable but borders on exploitative. However, this pales in comparison to the abhorrent treatment my friend and I received. My friend, who is of Greek descent, was singled out and subjected to harassment by the manager solely based on his ethnicity. This individual refused to serve him, creating a hostile and discriminatory environment that is completely unacceptable.
However might i add that this hostile attitude was only received from the manager of the establishment. The bar maid that served us was pleasant and understanding.
Upon receiving our pints we sat outside and were immediately hit with more hostility after the manager stormed outside and accused us of purchasing and giving one of our alcoholic beverages to my greek friend which was completely incorrect. As we were drinking our drinks we were intensely being watched by not only the management staff but also a select number of customers which we caught relaying lies and rumours to the staff. One in particular that stood at us was an elderly gentleman who was sat at the table across from us, who when the manager came out and threw accusations at my greek friend, we over heard saying ?i saw those maniac youths gave that greek a pint? which once again was factually incorrect.
Such behavior is not only morally reprehensible but also potentially illegal and this is not what we wish to expect when spending our own money for their services. I am appalled that in this day and age, a business would allow such prejudice to dictate its service. I strongly advise anyone considering visiting The Stag's Head to reconsider, as you may find yourself subject to similar discriminatory treatment. I will be taking this matter further.

Don?t normally slate local businesses?s but have been here tonight watching the champions league final(I go here often to watch big football matches and never had a problem) and was told to leave tonight after going to the toilet at 11pm. Didn?t set one foot outside the pub but told i wasn?t allowed to the bar, was told to go away. I Went back after 15 minutes to say my piece that I didn?t understand why I was kicked out/removed when I just came back from toilet. Then told they may have confused me with someone else, which is unacceptable as they said (said person had a dog with them) which I did not. They did offer me a drink but the fact the owners ?didn?t recognise me as a regular ? they didn?t want to initially know. But after wanted to buy me a drink for confusion. Which again I feel is an insult because they don?t recognise my name? Or face (like name or face should be of concern) I feel it was too late, and the fact they tried to shift blame. Won?t be going there again, apparently for ?locals? only?

I entered the pub and there was a previous problem with the staff and their daughter, we had already spoke about this to me, I asked authorities if it was okay for them to be saying this to me and they disagreed, so I entered the pub they decided to be absolutely horrible to me and treat me with complete disrespect. They told me u should leave and so I did. Safe to say I?m going to be speaking with authorities and will not be coming back here again!

First visit back since the 70s when I used to buy lemonade from the off licence hatch. Had Saturday lunch. Great food, served with personality by staff who looked like they liked working there. Amazing VFM. Great for dog owners too.

Food was really nice from a fairly basic menu. Reasonably priced too. The dining area and bar area are really in one room and whilst we were there it seemed to be an after work meeting point for blokes in the building trade . They were fairly loud and their choice of language wasn't great. Think they need to decide what they want their pub to be either a boozer or eating place.

Really really good food at great prices in a pretty rural location. Excellent friendly service and if you are a beer aficionado I can assure you the beers here are beautifully kept and only around £4 a pint. Do NOT miss this lovely gem of an Inn with a varied choice menu.
