Despite being quiet, we were kept waiting before our order was taken. The Turkish drinks we wanted were not available. The food was delicious, though.

Avoid at all costs placed an order online and after 15 mins of waiting I received a message saying cancelled. Waste of my time. Avoid this unprofessional restaurant!

Staff were welcoming and friendly. The starter was OK! Our main meal was brought out swiftly, but barely warm and the meat in the unseasoned watery chicken casserole was tough (not a rich sauce with tender meat as you'd expect of this type of cuisine!) All diners were crammed into one side of the restaurant so our dining experience was Very loud! It was hard to hear our own conversation. Very disappointing after reading such favourable reviews

I can say that I ate the best meat I have ever eaten. In general, meat is not cooked very well in Turkish restaurants, but Chef Enver made the meat like Turkish delight.Also the appetizers were very delicious. Also, while we were saying "oh, if only we had some tea after the meal", the owner of the place offered us tea and Turkish delight, which really won our hearts. I definitely recommend it. It is a place we have added to our calendar to go again.

We booked for a group of friends and for various reasons our 12 was reduced to 7. The staff were very understanding and helpful and we fully recovered our deposit. The service and food were excellent and I can fully recommend The Aubergine

Nice and friendly staff. It would be nice to have some nibbles while waiting for the main course (like some bread, olives etc). Food is very good. A bit more "turkishness" in decore would be perfect. Dish sizes are good and some exceed your expectation. Side salad could be more inventive. Bulgur is perfect. Grilled sea bass is the absolute perfection - highly recommended (but ask for lemon wedges to make it amazing).

Food and service were both excellent. This was for a group of 25 people for a company meal. Though the restaurant were normally closed on our preferred day for the meal (Tuesday) they agreed to open specially for us. The help organising the meal with menu advice etc was also invaluable.
On the evening of the meal all their staff were very helpful and friendly. The food was delicious with options for the varied dietary requirements often in a large group. To top it off the price was very good value, including drinks. Thank you The Aubergine!

Well done to the chef, it was the best Adana kebab I have ever eaten in England. Also the cold starters were wonderful. Friendly and polite staff and stylish decoration. Thank you for the delicious Turkish tea.

Great decore, warm home from home relaxed great character and charming.
Great service, dont rush you, make sure all is well. If you are not sure on what things are always happy to help.
Turkish food is always the best as its made with love from the heart, the chef/s take pride in their food so this is transfered to you when you eat your dish.
Also I love that they play Turkish music too as it feels like I am back in my 2nd home.
I was happy I could practice my turkish too. Most enjoyable evening please try something different you will understand how fab everything is. Cant wait to go back with family & friends . Güzeldi

OK?We were in town yesterday for the Warwick Folk Festival and were on Smith Street at lunchtime so were lucky enough to find a table for 2 outside The Aubergine Turkish Restaurant. Their street food menu was simple enough and we had the Lamb kebab wraps with salad and chips. At £12 each it was reasonable value as the wraps were well filled, there were enough chips & it was all excellent. However? and this is where they get marked down somewhat?we weren?t drinking alcohol, as tempting as the Efes was at £5 a bottle, so we decided to just have a Soda Water with lime each. We knew that they would charge for these drinks?and that was fine by us? but when the bill came and these Soda & limes in small plastic tumblers were charged at £4 each this was clearly a blatant rip-off. I?m sorry to say, but if this is how you treat customers at an event like this then you have put us off visiting you at any other time?and yes, we are fairly local. You obviously had a captive market during the Folk Festival, but please don?t treat everyone like idiots? Lime & Sodas do not cost £4?.and this was on top of you making a ?mistake? by trying to charge us £14 each for our wraps instead of £12. Still nice food though?
