Convenient in the centre of Warwick. Nothing to look at from the outside but pleasant inside. Food generally good but not outstanding. Friendly and welcoming staff. Prices are reasonable.

Visited last week and a bit disappointed because the service was awful. .. I ordered a veggie meal and they bought me meat .it looked like the paneer so I ate some .. the waiter appologised but was offered no compensation for this ... they bought me the paneer version which was nice.... the service was extremely slow we had to ask for our mains ....we had to ask for the bill....we had to ask to pay ..it was a very long eve ... we got there at 6 pm and left at about 9.30pm

Food was superb, I had the Tandoori mixed grill. The only issue was the service , twice they got my drink order wrong , I ordered kraken and lemonade with ice once they brought me blackcurrant and lemonade ?and once the brought what looked like melted ice in a glass. The initial waiter that took our 1st drink order , he had the personality of a wet rag, very miserable. The others were fine. So overall good food as always but the service from some of their staff is below par from what it used to be .

Yesterday ordered food from Saffron Gold via Just Eat. My recomendetion is to check your delivery before driver goes.
Instead of three portions of rice only one was delivered. Two small veg samosas were delivered for price of £5.95. Although food was delicios but it wasn't enough even for two people for the price we paid £34.44.
Very disappointed , will never order again.

Pathetic food with very sad service. So much delay in bringing the not so good food to the table. All they wanted was to sell Popadums to us. Repeatedly every waiter asked do you want Popadums 6-7 times during our dine in. Paneer dish was full of mixed vegetables with 2 tiny pieces of paneer. Please avoid.

Just moved to the area so trying to find a good curry house. The curries aren?t good at all me and my partner were both disappointed, prawns rubbery and not much flavour in both curries Popadoms don?t come with chutney tray either and wasn?t told to order separately

The food was beautiful, the staff were attentive and polite I would definately recommend eating here. Busy on a Tuesday evening which says a lot these days!

Really loved this place and wish we lived locally so we could return soon! The vegetarian selection was varied and we enjoyed both the main dishes we tried. The paneer was cooked well and the pilau rice was so well spiced - delicious! The garlic naans were also very good, and had a good amount of garlic (though we wouldn't have turned down even more garlic!).
Staff were very friendly and attentive, and we were given complimentary onion bhajis while we waited for our mains which was very kind (wasn't even that long a wait!). We aren't normally bothered about bhajis and other small starters but these were actually amazing - so crispy and flavoursome! Would definitely order them again.
Only small criticism I have is that the mango lassi wasn't the best. I think could have done with more sweetness (and maybe a better quality yoghurt?).
I highly recommend this place and hope to come back the next time I'm in Warwick!

Excellent food! Really tasty. We live in knowle which has a few Indian restaurants, we have tried them all numerous times. But Saffron Gold is the best we have had bar non. Chicken was really tender and everything was fresh. The staff were also amazing. Thank you so much for a wonderful meal

Food was very good for 6 of us, although the main course for the 7th in our group wasn't satisfactory. That said, they went out of their way to attempt to rectify it so that is the reason I've only deducted 1 star. Service was very good in general, although there was a very long wait between the tasty starter and the main. We were in no particular rush, but 2 hours was a tad long.
The disappointing thing was a mother on an adjacent table spent about 30 minutes stood up doing her daughters hair into a style. Really ! There's a time and place for that and it's not in front of other diners. A pity the manager didn't have a quiet word.
Would I return ?... yes, definitely ??
Parking: If there's a space, you can park right outside.
Wheelchair accessibility: Ramps upto shop front.
