Had a great experience in vision express today booked an eye test in because I broke my glasses this morning. I come into the store 1hr before my appointment to see if I could be seen sooner and it was no problem at all! The staff were very friendly and all helped me pick out my new glasses which I received 1hr after taking my eye test! I was amazing with the quick friendly service I revived todayThank youJosh

After my wife purchased some glasses after her eye test suggested she needed some so she bought them on the Eye care plan (all in Redditch).I decided to go Stratford as it?s closer. When I went in to have an eye test and purchase new glasses the staff had never done it using the eye care plan. I was there so long I had to renew parking, they didn?t explain the costs very well or the plan to the point I paid for the eye test and left (would have been free on plan).So the wife took me to Redditch, I left with 3 pairs and on the plan, test refunded. I didn?t like the one pair with computer screen stuff on, no problem when I returned, plan updated and sorted. Much better service, they helped no end.Sometime later I broke a pair, I thought I?d go Stratford, they are covered for accidental cover, so a quick drop off and go. That wasn?t the case. The gentleman told me they weren?t covered and I had to pay for the frames. I was confused but paid, I had nothing on paper to say they were, just the leaflet and my receipts. So I paid and left, went home and logged into my account to check the cover, can?t find it? The account shows nothing.So I messaged vision express using twitter X. Confirmed all details and the confirmed I was covered. I explained what happened asked them to double check and they were confident I was covered. I asked them to put a note on account or call shop.Went to collect once I got a txt they were ready. Saw the same gentleman, explained what I found out. He looked again and said ah yes, they are covered but you pay the access. Fine. ?I?ll refund you that, it will go straight onto your card today?, what did he see he didn?t the first time?No apologies, nothing.The refund wasn?t straight away, I called the shop next day as it hadn?t come through, they said it takes up to 6 days.It?s a shame I can?t see details myself online. The leaflet says accidental damage is extra. I was sure I had it but no paperwork. Even all the emails don?t mentioned it.Perhaps these staff should spend a day in Redditch training because I won?t be going the local shop again.

Both the optician and locum were rude and patronising. One seemed to guess my contact lens prescription and got it wrong to which the other said ?as long as it?s doing 80%??! Unless you wear glasses they have no interest in supporting you with advice on different products. Avoid this place, find somewhere with true eye care professionals with emotional intelligence

Having always been to this store previously and dealt with Jas, due to work commitments decided to purchase vari focals online, huge mistake I could not focus with them so returned to this store received first class service two pairs of glasses and now perfect vision. Thank you vision express Stratford upon Avon. Lesson to all do not purchase varifocals online go into store and get them done properly.

Update - it?s been over a week and I still haven?t received my glasses, I have been told today by Vision ?Express? customer service that it could take up to an additional 10 days before I receive them; I have requested a full refund.It took them 4 days to produce lenses for my new glasses - hardly ?express? - when I went to collect my glasses I discover that they had given made my lenses with completely the wrong prescription. I am still waiting for them to put things right. I wouldn?t trust them with my eyesight.

I have been going to specsavers Stratford-upon-Avon since I was 4 (I'm 28 now) I'm a +8 (thick glasses)I've always been told when choosing the frames "you can't have that one" , "nope, not those ones" etc.. 2 days ago I literally had 25 different pairs of frames on the desk the chap brought over. None of which I liked and none were suitable for me aparently.. (due to pupil centre to frame or something)I got a little annoyed and walked over the road to vision express Stratford-upon-Avon (which I've never done before) Prescription in hand...They have Rows upon rows of frames.. every single frame is suitable for me..(wooo).The systems are new and a lovely clean shop. Honestly I was able to pick any frame and have them shaved down which for me is fantastic. Spent a fair amount of money on what I really wanted and left the shop happy, hoping to return in the future for my next pair of glasses.Thanks

Won?t be back. My worst experience buying glasses. On first visit one member of staff was rude to another customer and another member of staff which I found all very awkward. Made up the wrong prescription first time. When I went to collect the second the assistant wasn?t interested in making sure the glasses fitted properly at all. Told me the glasses were straight on my head when they clearly weren?t. Then told me that the reason the frames we?re out of shape was because ?everybody?s heads are out of shape?. Maybe true, but not the reason why the frames are bent before they have ever been on my head....eventually offered to get someone who could fit them properly

Went in to see about ordering a pair of prescription sunglasses . Clearly said prescription sunglasses . Chose a pair , paid for a pair . Few days later I got a call letting me know they had arrived in store and were ready for collection . When I went to collect they were just sunglasses . Not sure why they thought I would want those and seemed suprised when I requested arefund because I wasn't willing to pay over a £100 more. Complete waste of time should have gone to Spec Savers

Absolutely great experience all round at Vision Express Stratford-upon-Avon. Friendly, genuine staff. They were so kind and patient when my husband and I went in looking for frames. I had an eye test and the optometrist was the nicest lady. Couldn't fault a thing. We actually walked out of Specsavers in Stratford before because it was such an unpleasant, harried place to be and we were made to feel so unwelcome. Thanks Vision Express peeps!
