Ate here as part of a large group (about 20). Most people thoroughly enjoyed their meal but i and my partner made the mistake of ordering the ?seafood? pie.
The pie comprised one prawn, and 3 small bite size pieces of fish (about a teaspoon each). The rest of the dish was plain mashed potato and peas. On the side were some lettuce leaves sprinkled with oil and a few seeds. I would not ordinarily order dessert but was so hungry after a plate of mashed potato and lettuce leaves that i ordered cheesecake. It was average and unfortunately a very light fluffy style that wasn't filling either.
By all means eat here - just don?t order the ?seafood? pie.

Friendly staff, good selection of wine, it's a clean and pleasant pub. No rating on the food as I haven't sampled any. Warm fireplace in the winter. More of a local pub than a tourist pub but I'd highly recommend it to tourists. Reasonable prices.

A fantastic gastro pub with a charming rustic touch. The service and hospitality were top-notch?friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout. The menu is enticing, offering a great range of starters, sharers, mains, and drinks to suit all tastes.
They also have a Specials board that?s worth checking out?featuring some truly unique and exotic combinations you don?t see every day. It?s clear they put real thought into their dishes, and the attention to detail shows, especially with the proper British grub on offer.
The interiors are warm and inviting, perfect for both families and smaller groups, with plenty of seating options available. Parking is a bit restricted, so plan ahead?but once you?re inside, it?s well worth it.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for great food, great vibes, and a proper pub experience.

I have just finished a meal here with my family and I can not recommend this place enough! The food was delicious! Lots of choice, great portions and a good kids menu. The pub has a great atmosphere, cosy and comfortable, but what really makes this place is the staff. From the moment we walked in we were made to feel welcome. Drinks served immediately, food options explained to us and service was fantastic. They made my 4 year old daughter feel so welcome. They even helped with some entertainment for her (look for the ducks!) thank you so much. It?s rare to find a place that I would look forward to taking a young child to but I can recommend here for any parents wanting great food, family friendly and great staff. Thank you, we will definitely be back!

Visited on Sunday was served by a really friendly waiter called Ella made us feel very welcome and recommended the beef roast ,which was amazing . All in all amazing service and food will definitely be returning .

On Monday nights at least, the kitchen closes at 8pm. Not a good look in summer for a supposed gastro pub.

Good spot for Sunday lunch. Enjoyed the staff bringing round second helpings of Yorkshire puds and spuds. Nicely decorated. My chair needed a pillow as it was a bit overused.
