I had a unpleasant experience at this station, went in to get a pack of chewing gum, served by a young lad and he asked me to download the shell app, he insisted to take my phone off me so he could do it, I kindly said no I will do it.
After signing up which built up a big queue he wanted to take a picture of the shell app being open of my phone so he could show his manager. I thought this was very strange and unprofessional, I refused incase this was some sort of scam, he continued to pressure me into taking a picture of my phone and asked again for me to pass my phone to him. I have never had anything like this before, avoid this place!!

Another day trying to drop off an Amazon return... Another day of being told no, this time, the man behind the counter (9.15am December 2nd 2024) said 'the system' wasn't working. Amazon... wasnt working. AMAZON WASN'T WORKING!! ?. Weird because the same system used at Asda was working fine and had been all morning when I went there after being turned away at Shell. That makes 7 trips to Shell to return something, 4 times being turned away. Weirdly it's always that same guy when the issues happen. The lady that works there never seems to have that problem. Weird.

Staying at Alveston Manor hotel wanted to buy a few things from the garage given it proudly carries Waitrose products.
All locked up so couldn't browse and no interest in going through the ridiculous trying to get the person in the store to pick things up for us. This not long after theatre had finished.
Reading the reviews they seem to lock the store from 8pm. Yes really.
Stratford upon Avon is hardly a mean urban area of massive crime so bemused why they do this beyond that they are so desperate to save on staff they use the bare minimum.
This ensures this open 24 hours a day little Waitrose sells little besides fuel and cigarettes for however long they're locked down each night for.
I live in a city far less salubrious than Stratford. I don't get why they're doing this and why Waitrose let them waste their fresh produce letting in rot because no-one can realistically buy anything they can't see from the window.

Friendly staff here, one of the nicer garages I've been to. Little Waitrose prices aren't too bad for a convenience store either!

Fuel prices are on average +10p versus nearby comparable locations. The pumps are your typical Shell pumps which have a debit of about 25% slower than average.Air is 1£ for 7 minutes and is usually broken half the time.Windscreen cleaner can be had at the same location as the air for 1.50£ and fills about half your reservoir. Tip: get your card in hand and then push the silver button just below the card reader to toggle over to the windscreen filler.The cashiers lean towards unfriendly.PS- you can collect John Lewis online orders here but I wouldn?t recommend it as they try to pass over the counter and bigger items are difficult. Use the Waitrose down the road for a better experience.

It's sooo good that it's also a mini Waitrose. Staff are friendly too.
