Booked for wheel alignment on a Saturday 8:30. And once I was there they told me they can't do it today as they are short staffed. Truly unprofessional, could have updated that in the website when showing availability or rang me before hand. A waste of journey from leamington. And since it was fully pre-paid, refund would take a few business days! Very disappointed.

Car booked in and paid for a major service and the day before get an email to say cancelled. Shortly after get a phone call to apologise and asked if ok to rebook due to illness at garage. Fully understand this happens so booked another date, transferred payment and though all good. But no, go to the garage the new date after cancelling plans to be told that it has been cancelled again. This time no email, call or any warning. Called customer service for refund as cannot take chance of being let down again, on hold for 10 minutes. Just hoping they can organise refund as they seem completely useless at administration.

This place is seriously short staffed I will make any excuses not to do the work book my car in for a service and MOT my book didn?t get stamps for the service technician couldn?t figure out how to reset the service light. Sat in my car YouTube it. Poor show.

I had an appointment 08.30 am ön Saturday for MOT and major Service. When I booked online the System said prepare tó leave the cár áll day.Ín Halfords they said they Will contact me Asap when the cár is ready.I spend the day im the city and go back 4pm and saw my cár in the back cár park. I checked the tracker and it said they still working on it. I went tó the reception tó ask what is going on.3 members was chatting and pushing their phones ín the office. One of them come and I asked hím about my cár.Hé said, oh it is ready. Hé Bring my Service book and started tó fill up again. Hé put a second stamp and a second mileage when I realized and told hím it is already there. When I arrived tó the cár I realized the MOT certificate is missing só I asked hím tó give it tó me.There were Mány greasy dirt ön my cár, driver door outside, bonnet outside and driver door inside As well. When I started the cár the rádió was very loud.Só who knows when they finished the job with my cár, nobody contacted me.Só áll of thesenit was a very bad experiment. I dont think I go back there ín the future, and alsó not recommend them.Service: Auto maintenance

Twice car booked in for MOT and had to pay in advance. Cancelled last minute on both occasions. Avoid using them.

Booked in for a full service and MOT. Got a call the morning of the booking to say no technician available. Seems this is something they do regularly. Cancelled and refunded, never again. Should of taken notice of the other reviews.

Worst experience I would say from 2 weeks experience.I had an appointment for 2 Saturdays at 8.30 am and was sent back as they didn't have any technician on both days. I'm not sure why they have the garage opened for weekends

Wanted something done on my car, rang the number given at 8.02am, turns out it?s a central call centre, the telephone options are horrendous to start with, eventually get through to a person, told her where I was and what I wanted, she put me on hold for ages then came crack and said, no problem pop down now and they will do it. I immediately popped down only to be greeted with ?no chance today mate, no techs in?!!!HiQ were just the opposite and great service from them!

Avoid at all costs, booked full service,and with out warning or apology told "There's no techs here to do it" A wasted journey for two people(lift home)."You can cancel if you like" retorted an unapologetic garagehand.I think you can guess what I did,never again!

I'm very disappointed with the service I've received from Halfords in Stratford upon Avon over the past two services. The first time I took my car in they messed up a sensor which I had to get repaired elsewhere at extra cost. Secondly, in February, when I took my car in for service upon collection, the engine light error had come on which they claimed had been on when I took the car there in the first place - which it most certainly wasn't. They couldn't repair the engine light after several attempts, claiming it to be a leaky turbo charger Subsequently ive taken the vehicle to a BMW dealership, they pointed out it wasn't any such thing, but a poorly installed air filter had caused the problem with the engine light. BMW charged me a hefty sum just to reveal that mistake. I'm work in construction and am paid daily and have lost nearly £3000 in earnings as I have been unable to commute to work. Dreadful service. Will not be going to Halford again. If you go, be very cautious! Recently I've discovered a few years ago, Halfords in Stratford-upon-Avon, were issued a hefty fine for poor service work by Trading Standard's and if I'd read that before I probably wouldn't have gone for any servicing work whatsoever.Service: Auto maintenance

My experience was a complete waste of time and will avoid at all costs in future. I left my car (Golf GTI) for diagnosis of a fault with the AC for a full working day. On collection at 5pm I was told a test drive found no issues but they didn't try the AC at any point, no wonder they didn't find the fault!! Absolute incompetence.To top it all, I returned to my car with a chunk of fuel missing from the tank and running on fumes with the seat position reclined gangster style. I think they were too busy ragging my car to bother diagnosing the fault.To be avoided!

My car was making a horrible grinding noises after travelling 117 miles which was worrying for me as I was alone and a long way from my home in Cambridgeshire where I had to get home that day. I'd stopped at Kwit fit who told me they had 17 jobs on so no way could help.I went to Halfords and the the chap I spoke to said they had 33 jobs on but he would take a quick look and give me the advice I needed. Booked in for all the brake pads and discs to be repaired on my car and my husband had the rear discs and pads replaced on his. Mine was making an awful squealing noise and a previous garage had failed to fix it. Was served by Andrew for both appointments and he was absolutely brilliant. Really helpful, went above and beyond to ensure we were happy with everything and car now drives silently and brakes are so much better than they were.
