“Gotta love the works for deals on books.

I bought these 3 biographies for only £6.

Plus, because we then spent over £10, they gave me a free dinosaur drawstring bag!”

“Visiting from Australia, this bookshop reminded me of some that have now gone from the larger cities - an eclectic range and sometimes eccentric organisation. This ensures the casual visitor can spend several hours with their head in a book on a subject completely unrelated to their reason for visiting (this is a good thing). Reasonable prices, friendly staff. Nice that their is a tea shop inside, too.”

“Last Saturday I was looking for a couple books that came out and couldn’t find them anywhere, so I went to look for a member of staff, and there was this well-mannered member of staff. He said that it usually takes a couple of weeks for recent books to come out, but he did say that he would look for them, and he found them and gave them to me. I would definitely be going back again on a Saturday or Friday since he mentioned he only works those days.”

“The food and service was outstanding. I booked a table online and stated a child had a dairy allergy. When we arrived they explained everything which she could or couldn’t have. The server even checked with the chef about everything. They were extremely attentive to us and the food was lovely Would highly recommend to anyone to go and eat. They were great dealing with the allergy”

“Prices are pretty high, but the cards are pretty entertaining to look at, sometimes I look at them for too long.. and leave after 30 minutes.Boring shop, but nice cards. Also a bit overpriced.”

“Nice shop, well laid out and the staff are really nice. I visit often to find more goodies to add to my vast book collection. Not too bad price wise - theres definitely worse in stratford but some books I've found to be expensive, maybe they are valuable i don't know but im certainly not spending £20 on a second hand book. Overall though a great shop and definitely recommend a visit”
