Stayed in the carpark overnight in campervan - very friendly and lovely quiet stop. Good local ale and hearty dishes.

We stopped here for a light lunch on a Saturday afternoon. The staff were lovely but the food was terrible. The charcuterie board was two slices of stale bread with orange meat out of a cheap packet, no effort had even been made to present it nicely. The children had pasta with meatballs that consisted of about 5 strands of pasta and a mountain of melted mozarella.
It?s also heavily overpriced, a tiny sausage roll was £9, was expecting something sensational for that price! Very disappointing.

We booked 3 pods for the weekend for son?s 30th, all were superb, very clean & had all that was needed.
The staff were great, fun & friendly.

A really friendly country pub, serving delicious food too.

Thought we were getting a camping hut in a grassy area.
Its a car park with some rotting wooden tables, a mud wallow building site and industrial recycling bins. The huts are extra small. No table kind of small. Not even a fold out one. Wifi is abysmal and they don't have sweeteners for anyone who doesn't take sugar so bring your own . Wish I had.
For the price it's not worth it. No breakfast available at the pub so you will have to cater for yourself in the mornings and if that means cooking be prepared to set off fire alarms even with the window and door open the pods are that small and cramped.
No taxis in the area. Many private hire businesses don't work weekends so if you are planning on needing public transport BOOK IN ADVANCE and don't trust the sites info packs or you'll be stranded like us.
Generally, if you want a real glamping experience, look for somewhere picturesque, not a cat park. It wasn't what we wanted. If you just want somewhere to crash near your planned activities, look for an actual hotel. If you desperately want to sleep in a pod, then this will do but try and pay less than we did.

Stayed here in our motorhome as part of the Brit Stops scheme. Called ahead to reserve our space. A lovely setting. A very nice meal in their light, airy but warm conservatory overlooking the village green. Staff friendly and efficient and the food was lovely. Said there was no rush to leave in the morning, in fact the lady chased after us to let us know our back boot was open!! Great service, definitely recommend ?
Food and drinks: Not a huge menu but a good choice, freshly sourced and reasonable portions.

The Norman Knight Pub and Restaurant: A Hidden Gem in the Heart of the Countryside
Nestled in the charming village of Whichford, The Norman Knight Pub and Restaurant is a true countryside delight. Whether you?re stopping by after a walk in the Cotswolds or simply looking for a cozy spot to enjoy a meal, this pub offers a perfect blend of traditional charm and modern dining.
The first thing that strikes you about The Norman Knight is its idyllic setting. Overlooking the village green, the pub has a classic, welcoming atmosphere. Inside, the décor is rustic yet tasteful, with exposed beams and a roaring fireplace that sets the tone for a relaxing visit. The pub retains its traditional village feel but with an air of sophistication.
Food and Drink
The menu is a true reflection of the local flavors, with a focus on fresh, seasonal ingredients. From hearty pub classics to more refined dishes, there?s something to satisfy every palate. The Sunday roasts are particularly renowned, with generous portions of perfectly cooked meat, crispy roast potatoes, and rich gravy. The fish dishes are also a highlight, especially the locally-sourced catch of the day.
For those who love a good pint, The Norman Knight boasts a fine selection of local ales and ciders, alongside a well-curated wine list. Whether you prefer a refreshing pint of ale or something more refined from the wine menu, the bar will not disappoint.
Service
The staff at The Norman Knight are warm, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. They strike the right balance between professional and friendly, ensuring that you feel welcome without being rushed. Whether you're a local or visiting for the first time, you're treated like a regular. Becs & Josh were a delight to meet and nothing was too much trouble! Even the locals were fab to meet with knowledgeable stories!
Outdoor Seating
One of the standout features is the pub's outdoor seating area. On sunny days, you can enjoy your meal or drink with a stunning view of the village green and surrounding countryside. It?s an ideal spot for families, dog walkers, or anyone who enjoys dining al fresco.
Overall Experience
The Norman Knight Pub and Restaurant offers an exceptional experience for those seeking great food, a relaxed environment, and a taste of traditional English hospitality. It?s more than just a place to eat or drink ? it?s a destination in itself, where you can truly unwind and enjoy the best that a country pub has to offer. We stayed in our own camper parking area where there is also glamping pods but we all had adequate privacy.
Well Done Team !
