I attended a wedding at this venue. On arrival it looks spectacular. It was warm and inviting. However some of the staff were rude and looked as though they would rather be elsewhere. Not attentive at all. The food was mediocre for a wedding feast and the vegetarian dishes were awful. The bar wasn't manned and we had to ask three times if there were any staff available. They have tried to make up for it by refunding some of the food bill and a free meal ! Says it all.Number one tip, change your miserable staff !I will not go there again.

Member of Karma group and enjoyed the stay. This is a grade 1 listed building and was once residence of King Henry VIII. The building was built in 14th century and you can go 700 years back in the history while staying here.Rooms: Beautiful and cozy room for your most romantic getaway in a 14th century building that was once residence of King Henry VIIIFood & drinks: Restaurant and bar inside the hotel.

If your idea stay is in a draughty, creaky hotel with little water pressure in the shower and bath, draughts through the windows, then its for you. Oldie worldie building but too many issues for the price. Staff were apologetic about issues which was not their fault as they are only the paid staff not the owners. Cooked breakfast was average and not worth £18, yes, £18. Even changed rooms to try and get a better room but to no avail, checked out 2 days early.Rooms: Draughty, cold, heating not working on all radiators in room, had to get temporary radiator out and plug it in, to heat room.

This hotel is a classic example of a lovely building which looks nice but not worth the money. All the fixtures and fittings are half complete or put in wrong, the food looks nice but is badly prepared. The staff are nice but have absolutely no experience and aren't properly trained. The white wine was warm and the red wine was actually hot. The breakfast was unpleasant and made from cheap ingredients (burnt eggs, cheap beans and frozen hash browns) and you don't get to stay in the building itself, rather the annex buildings adjacent. Was hoping for an upmarket stay but this place disappointed at every turn. Not the staffs fault, most of them look to be still in school, rather management trying to charge a lot but cut corners. Feels like a mediocre hotel in Bangkok rather than a good hotel near the cotswolds

We spent a few days st The Karma Salford Hall the staff here are lovely, very attentive and accommodating. While we were here we had a meeting to see about joining the Karma Club which lasted about 90 minutes. We had a good sized room with tea and coffee making facilities. A continental breakfast is served, croissants, pan au chocolate, Danish pastries, scones, white and brown bread that could be toasted, cheese, salami, parma ham, cereal, prunes, fruit, yogurt, juice, tea and coffee but a cooked breakfast you have to pay extra for although you do get a discount. The continental breakfast was good enough and the waiting staff were very good. We also had our evening meals, also discounted, one night we had the burgers I had the vegan burger and it was very good another night we had a really nice fish pie.

Fabulous place with accessible parking. Former property belonging to King Henry VIII, full of character and atmosphere. Lovely rooms and breakfasts. Evening meals wonderful and a cute little bar.Best of all the staff are brilliant and friendly - they are the biggest plus of the Karma group.Rooms: Thick walls and leaded windows from the Tudor age, but the rooms and furnishings are comfy and contemporaryNearby activities: Within driving limits are many Cotswold villages and towns, full of character and thatched buildings. Plenty of places for walking and hikingWalkability: Predominantly flat you can walk for miles through villages and fields.Food & drinks: Great food and drinks from the main restaurant or the bar. A cute little party of the hotel with all its history on the walls.

Nice hotel. Our room was opposite the hotel which was a positive. An older clientele feqenct this hotel, so no children was a bonus. Would definitely recommend.

We had a great overnight stay as part of our karma discovery experience. So much history to explore. Great games room and comfy bar. We noticed a name engraved in the glass outside room 3 on the first floor and would love to know more. about it. Think it was dated 1846. Thank you for a lovely stay
